Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am grateful to God for His mercy and protection throughout January and two weeks of February, even though we experienced missile and drone strikes, but they were shot down by air defense forces, thank God. These months were very cold, with heavy snowfalls and icy roads, making it difficult to navigate the churches I was supposed to attend. But glory to God for all He gives us. Glory to God for His mercy and protection.
1. Bible Institute
-This month I finished teaching the book of Psalms.
In studying this book, all the students learned very profound and useful truths.
-Next, all the students want us to study the book of Proverbs, because some students have many questions about truths they don't understand. May the Lord help us study the book of Proverbs. 2. Meeting of the PIE Ukraine Mission Brotherhood Council.
- Last week, a meeting of missionary brothers from the PIEI Ukraine Mission Committee took place. They planned how to organize the ministry of brothers and sisters from the USA who will be coming to Ukraine in the summer of 2026.
- Many proposals were made, and the final decision on how to conduct this ministry will be made at the next meeting.
3. Ministry with pastors, youth, and sisters
- Regional Pastors' Office of Chernivtsi Oblast I was instructed to write and send invitations to all the pastors of the Novoseletsky district, as well as to sisters from churches in the Novoseletsky district and youth, so that they could attend these three conferences: one with pastors, one with sisters, and one with youth, which will be held in Chernivtsi. There will be a conference with pastors on February 26th, a conference with youth on February 27th, and a conference with sisters from churches throughout the Chernivtsi region on Saturday, February 28th. We pray for God's blessing on these conferences.
4. Visiting the Sick
- A very sick baby named Nathanael was admitted to the regional hospital. This child belongs to a family from our Nesvoy church. My wife, Larisa, and I regularly visited this baby and his mother, Sorina, and we also organized a group of pastors to visit the boy in the hospital. They prayed for Nathanael, and we also prayed unceasingly for his healing. After these prayers, this boy improved—praise be to God. They have already been discharged home from the hospital, and we all praise God for this miraculous healing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. Thanksgiving
-We are very grateful to God for your prayers for us, dear brothers and sisters from the USA—our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine—that you pray for the long-awaited peace to come to Ukraine. We thank you for your support in helping us here, where there are so many in need of material assistance, and we help people in need.
-We are grateful to God for helping us in this difficult time to share the Word of God with people.
6. Prayer Requests
-Dear brothers and sisters, pray with us for this senseless war in Ukraine, where so many people are dying and everything is being destroyed, to end.
-Pray that the Word of God we have shared this month will bear fruit in repentance in the hearts of those who have heard it. Pray for our three conferences at the end of February, that the Lord will bless them.
Pray with us that the Lord will bless the summer program of our PIEI Ukraine mission, that the Christian camps for children will be well organized, and that the group from the USA coming to Ukraine will be blessed in their ministry here. May the skies be peaceful and that enemy missiles will not strike during the children's camp services and other God-given ministries in our churches.
Pray for me too, that the Lord will grant me health so that I can serve the Lord with diligence and zeal.
We also pray for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA. We pray that the Lord will bless you with health and peace. May you be blessed, and may God reward you a hundredfold with blessings from heaven.
With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.
