Greetings with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine.
We are grateful to God for another month given to us by our Lord, for He has protected us and kept us safe from all evil. During these four years and three months of war in Ukraine, we have learned to rely more on the Lord and to trust Him more deeply. We have learned how to serve God in difficult times and how to understand and help our brothers in great need. Praise God for His Word, which teaches us to constantly abide in prayer and study the Word of God. We find the source of wisdom only in Scripture.
1. Bible Institute
-Praise God, we finished studying the Book of Jeremiah with our students. A very interesting and instructive book. In it, the Lord reveals to us how to obey His Word and how to fulfill only the will of the Lord God. Only in this way does the Lord bless us, our families, and our country. 2. Meeting of missionaries from the PIEI Ukraine Mission.
- On May 16, our PIEI Ukraine missionaries met in Novoselytsia at Emmanuel Church, where they had a blessed meeting and each missionary shared stories about their ministry in their churches. Our volunteer missionaries shared stories of their trips to Hostomel and Kherson, where they ministered to those people, preaching the Word of God and distributing humanitarian aid. We thanked God for giving us this opportunity, during this difficult period of war in Ukraine, to proclaim the Gospel to people and help them financially. We are very happy to hear that people in both Hostomel and Kherson are coming to repentance before God, and we are praying for them here.
- At this meeting, we prayed for our brothers and sisters from the United States—our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. We prayed that the Lord would heal those who are sick and rehabilitate those who have undergone surgery. May the Lord bless all your churches and your country, the United States.
3. Ministry for widows and orphans.
- On May 23rd, as we wrote in previous reports, we organized this day for widows and orphans. Praise God, more than 250 orphans and widows came. There were also families who adopted more than 10 children from orphanages and are raising these children in the holiness and love of the Lord God. They all had a blessed day where we fed them a delicious breakfast, then gave them fruit before lunch. Our church prepared lunch. A very delicious lunch. There were meatballs and delicious Olivier salad, cabbage rolls, and pies with compote. We were happy to serve them and see how these orphans glorified God, saying, "Thank you, Jesus, and you."
- These children also had a blessed worship program, games, and Bible competitions. Our leaders worked with these children. My wife and I spoke with families who had adopted orphans from an orphanage. We learned about their problems and prayed with them that the Lord would strengthen their faith and grant them much health and wisdom in this ministry. We also prayed for widows and their problems. During this time of war in Ukraine, the number of widows and orphans has increased. This is a great tragedy for us. And we must help and pray for them constantly. We follow James 1:27: "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
Lord, help us in this ministry, Amen.
4. Thanksgiving:
-We are very grateful to you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for praying for us, and we were able to carry out this campaign for widows and orphans so blessedly, glory to God. We thank God that these children and widows heard the Good Word and were able to rejoice on this day. We thank God for the peaceful skies and good weather.
5. Prayer requests:
Pray with us for long-awaited peace in Ukraine. We long to hear, "The war is over. Peace has come to our Ukraine."
We pray that enemy missiles and drones will not bomb us.
- We pray for all who heard the Word of God this month, that the Lord will bless their hearts for repentance.
- We pray for the orphans and widows who heard the Word of God, that they too will come to God and give their hearts to the Lord. That they will understand in their hearts that God is their Heavenly Father, who always cares for them.
- Pray for our PIEI Ukraine Non Stop mission camp in Boyany from July 20th to 25th. May the Lord bless this camp, may we be able to assemble a strong team of leaders for the ministry, and may the Lord send teenagers who need salvation and repentance to this camp.
- May the Lord bless the teachers who will teach at this camp.
- May the Lord bless the team of brothers and sisters from the USA, led by Brother Cornel Stef, who will come to us in Ukraine. May the Lord bless the eyeglass outreach that will be conducted by medical professional Debbie Conry and her team. We trust in the Lord and His blessing.
- Pray also for the day camps for children that our churches from our PIEI Ukraine mission will conduct. May the Lord bless these ministries of ours and may the Lord grant us health and His protection in these ministries.
We pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. May the Lord bless you abundantly and grant you all health, peace, and joy in Christ.
With love to you, the PETIKHACHNYY PAVEL & LARISA family.
