Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are very grateful to God for His mercy and protection, and we always say, "The Lord has helped us thus far, glory to Him for all things." Indeed, we now live only for today, which the Lord grants us in His mercy, because we are at war, and we none of us know what tomorrow holds. Tomorrow is in the Lord's hands, and today we must labor for God and sow the Word of God in the hearts of people who have not yet come to know Jesus Christ and have not yet received the Lord in their hearts. May the Lord help us in this ministry.
1. Study at the Bible Institute
-I finished teaching the students the book of Isaiah. The students really enjoyed this book because it is closely connected to the history of the people of Israel. The students are preparing to take exams on this book of Isaiah.
2. We, along with the students of the Bible Institute, began studying the book of Jeremiah. Today we studied the first chapter of Jeremiah. The students really enjoy studying this book. Pray for me that I may, in the power of the Holy Spirit, teach this blessed book.
3. Evangelism in connection with the Feasts of Christ's Entry into Jerusalem and the Feast of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- At these feasts, the Word of God was preached in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our youth and our choir prepared a worship program for these two evangelisms. We are glad that many unbelievers came to our church for these evangelisms and listened attentively to the Word of God. We pray for them that the Lord will test their hearts to repentance.
4. Thanksgiving
- We are grateful to God for His protection and preservation of our lives this month. We always thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism. We thank you for your prayers and for your support of our ministry here in Ukraine.
5. Prayer requests:
-Pray for the war in Ukraine to end and for the Lord to bring us long-awaited peace.
-Pray for our ministry among widows and orphans. On May 23rd, we will have a service where we will spend the entire day with widows and 250 orphans. We will feed them delicious breakfasts and lunches, conduct Bible lessons in groups with them, and hold games and Bible competitions. We pray that the Lord will bless us with good weather, peaceful skies free from bombings, and good leaders for this ministry.
-We pray for all those who have heard God's Word this month, that the Lord will bless their hearts to repentance. Pray for our PIEI Ukraine mission camp, Non Stop, in Boyany from July 20th to 25th. May the Lord bless this camp, so that we can assemble a strong team of leaders for ministry, and may the Lord send teenagers who need salvation and repentance to this camp.
- May the Lord bless the teachers who will teach at this camp.
- May the Lord bless the team of brothers and sisters from the USA, led by Brother Cornel Stef, who will come to us in Ukraine. May the Lord bless the eyeglass outreach that will be conducted by medical professional Debbie Conry and her team. We trust in the Lord and His blessing.
- Pray also for the day camps for children that our churches from our PIEI Ukraine mission will conduct. May the Lord bless these ministries and grant us health and His protection in these ministries. We pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. May the Lord bless you abundantly and grant you all health, peace, and joy in Christ.
With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.
