We greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine.
Praise God for His protection and guidance throughout this summer, during this difficult time of war in Ukraine.
After our camp, we had a meeting of our PIEI Ukraine missionaries on Saturday, August 1, 26.
- At this meeting, I preached to the missionaries from Revelation 2:12 about the church at Pergamum. I explained how sin sought to penetrate this church, following Balaam's advice. And when sin penetrated this church, 24,000 people perished. This is terrifying. I urged our missionaries to be careful of false teachings, so that false teachings would not penetrate our mission, our families, or our churches.
- After this lesson, all our missionaries prayed with faith and love that sin would not penetrate their lives as it did the church at Pergamum. We also prayed for peace in Ukraine. We prayed for our sponsors from the United States who help us serve our missionaries here in Ukraine.
We thanked God for the successful Christian camp held in Boyany from July 20th to 25th. We also thanked God for the repentance of 40 teenagers.
We thanked God for blessing our glasses ministry in our churches. Over the course of five days, more than 200 people received glasses, who are very grateful to God and the team from the United States for such a gift, which is so necessary in our lives on earth every day. Praise be to God and for those souls who, after receiving glasses, said the prayer of repentance. Spiritual counselors were present: the Philbrook family, Stan and Kristen, Melodie, Cornel Stef, Laura, and Ben Stef. These counselors gave these people spiritual advice and answered their questions with Scripture. We pray for those who said the prayer of repentance. May God grant that this repentance be from the heart. Glory to God for this wonderful ministry. Glory to God for everything.
2. Communion
- My church held Communion. After the service, I went to the homes of the sick from our church to celebrate Communion. They thanked God for the opportunity, together with the church, to receive Holy Communion and remember the death and suffering of Jesus Christ.
3. Inductive Institute Lessons
- This month, with God's help, I taught lessons at the Inductive Institute. I spent the entire month teaching the students the book of Genesis. They found these lessons very interesting and diligently studied this book.
- This month, I created another group of students and want to teach two textbooks: 1. "Are You God?" (John 11:11) and 2 Timothy 1. I will teach these lessons at the students' request. They are very eager to study these books with me. Pray for me so that I can teach these textbooks in the power of the Holy Spirit.
4. Thanksgiving
- We are grateful to God for His support and guidance, both at the camp and in the glasses ministry. So many people have heard about God, His love, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us sinners.
- We thank God for protecting and defending us all from missile attacks. Kyiv is constantly under attack. It's terrifying. Other cities in Ukraine are being bombed by drones and missiles. Therefore, we were very worried about our guests from the USA. Glory to God for His safety and protection!
5. Prayer requests:
- Pray with us for this war in Ukraine to end. Only God can help us.
- Pray for the children who repented at our camp, that the Lord will search their hearts and strengthen their faith. Pray for those who have gone through prayer and repentance into service with glasses, that their repentance may be heartfelt.
Pray also for our missionaries, that the Lord will protect them and grant them health to serve God here where we are.
Pray for me, that the Lord will strengthen my health so that I can continue to labor in God's field.
And we pray for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. Thank you for all you do for us. Thank you for your prayers for us. Please accept our heartfelt greetings to your families and your churches. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.
