Or DONATE for 40th anniversary

Beloved brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ our Lord!
We also wish that your hearts be filled with joy on this occasion, as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Christian ministry of Partners in Evangelism International (PIEI).

1. About Us

PIEI Romania functions as a non-denominational Christian organization in close and direct relationship with PIEI in the United States. We conduct our activities in accordance with the principles of Scripture, the bylaws of PIEI USA and PIEI Romania, and in compliance with Romanian legislation.

We have a national committee (vice president, national director, secretary, and 11 missionaries, some of whom also pastor churches). We serve 18 churches and 8 mission points, totaling 431 members, 434 children and young people, and 268 others with whom we interact in Christian ministry.

In 2025, the direct involvement of national workers reached 1,133 people, with many more benefiting from Christian counseling, support, and guidance.

Our vision is the same as yours and aligned with the mission of PIEI: to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20. We want to make disciples and plant churches, with a strong emphasis on teaching disciples to observe all that the Lord Jesus has commanded.

The mission of PIEI Romania is to equip local leaders and evangelists, plant churches, organize camps and outreach projects for children and youth, provide social involvement and community support, and seek to transform lives throughout Romania according to the teaching of Scripture within the culture where God has placed us for this time.

2. Missionary Work

Once people receive the Lord, repent, and believe in Him, each missionary takes responsibility for discipling those who have been saved. We ourselves, as missionaries, are also involved in the process of spiritual growth, participating together or individually in various Bible studies, courses, conferences, or personal study.

We equip churches using the same methods—by age groups or small groups, in prayer houses, homes, and other locations. Each missionary is also actively involved in helping those in need, in line with Matthew 25.

God is blessing the work—we see people turning to Christ, being baptized, and entering the discipleship process.

3. Reaching Romania

As national workers, we long for our nation to know Christ. Although Romania is predominantly Christian (about 98.2% of the population declared themselves Christian in the 2021 census), we believe that very few have a personal relationship with Christ, and few live as authentic Christians according to Scripture.

PIEI Romania believes it is important to be actively involved in “winning Christians” to biblical Christianity and obedience to the faith as God’s Word teaches.

We make use of the following opportunities:

a. Necrilești Camp
A cabin into which much investment in 2025, able to host 45 people. It is dedicated to camps, group meetings, families, children, and youth. We also want it to be a place where Christian workers who need refreshment and peace may find them. Located in the midst of nature, the Lord blesses both the place and those who seek Him there, reflecting on the greatness of creation and especially its Creator. This year, 45 people (children and adults) enjoyed a wonderful time spent there.

b. PIEI Center
Located in Alba Iulia, in the center of the country, a city with a rich history dating back to Roman times, but also a lively contemporary life. The PIEI Center offers accommodation for mission teams, hosts events organized by churches, Christian organizations, and especially PIEI itself. It can host about 50 people and is a place where missionaries gather 3–4 times a year for fellowship, refreshment, and encouragement. We are grateful for the tent that was acquired for ministry here.

c. Podari Center
We were blessed when brother Walter donated land and a building in southern Romania near Craiova. The south of the country is spiritually dry, with few churches, and we are challenged to make this center a blessing for the churches and the region. Renovations are ongoing, and we hope it will become operational in 2026. So far, 2 rooms are completed, 4 are in progress, and we are expecting a family from the USA to come and be involved for a time. We are seeking a family to move there as PIEI missionaries. Our desire is for this center to especially serve people with special needs.

d. Victoria
Regarding the youth camp project, we are still blocked by extreme legal requirements and the county architectural office’s approval. We managed to install fiber optic internet and create 2 access routes to the property.

All these resources were entrusted to us by the Lord as talents, which we have already put to work. We long for them to bring Him more talents and that we may be found as good and faithful servants before our Master.

4. Short Mission Trips

In 2025, we were also blessed with mission teams coming to Romania to serve in different areas.

Brother Cornel, the PIEI president, together with 3 sisters from Missouri, came in the first team to serve in the camp ministry, supporting us. One of these sisters was Sarah, brother Cornel’s daughter.

A second team led by brother Walter focused on a special ministry with eyeglasses in two locations (Avrig and Noul). Another part of the team was involved in construction and repair work at the Podari center.

Also, part of brother Walter’s team, along with a Romanian missionary led by brother Cornel, visited Ukraine to support PIEI missionaries there.

It is worth noting that a Russian missile fell near the Chernivtsi mission area while the team and missionaries were there. The team faced the difficult decision of whether to risk their lives. Brother Cornel asked each one for an answer, and all agreed to go, entrusting themselves into the Lord’s hands, ready for whatever might happen. We thank the Lord that He protected them, and they all returned safely! (photos)

Another team of teenagers and adults from Germany worked with me to help 10 widows by repairing homes, gates, painting, or providing firewood for the winter. This was done in partnership between PIEI’s national director and the biblical mission from Germany and Moldova.

5. Social Involvement

Following the teaching of Matthew 25, each missionary, in their ministry area, was also involved this year in caring for “the least of these brothers of Mine,” as the Lord Jesus said, by offering material and financial support to those in need.

Also this year, a new ministry was opened for young people in Craiova’s prison: through weekly visits, Bible studies were offered. On two occasions, some inmates were able to visit a church in Craiova, where they heard the Gospel and were offered a special meal prepared for them by PIEI together with the church.

6. International Mission

As PIEI missionaries, we participated in the camp in Ukraine, where one of our missionaries, brother Petrut Daniel, served.

Another PIEI Romania international mission, in collaboration with sister Helen from World Missionary Press, involved distributing New Testaments and brochures translated into English, Icelandic, Greek, Polish, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Romani (Gypsy), Serbian, and other languages. These were offered to people of those nations, with Emanuel Joldos, a Romanian missionary, serving in this ministry.

7. Thanksgiving

We thank the Lord that “thus far the Lord has helped us”—we can say “Ebenezer” with all our hearts!

We thank all of you who prayed for and supported the ministry in Romania in this way!

The Romanian missionaries met weekly for prayer, interceding for all PIEI’s work in the country and worldwide.

We especially thank those who supported the work by joining mission teams or by contributing financially for the advancement of the Gospel in Romania!

We, the PIEI Romania workers, serve with a spirit of sacrifice, seeking to be examples for all—“a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.”

May the Lord bless you, and may your homes and your ministries be richly blessed!
