Whether we like it or not, change comes as part of God’s plan—ever since man disregarded the command of the Creator and chose to listen to the evil one.
The result was death.
But because God does not desire the death of the sinner, but rather that he turn from his evil ways and live, He prepared and brought into existence another way—a “new and living way”—and that way is Jesus Christ.
The transition from the path that leads to death to the path that leads to life requires a complete transformation. Scripture calls this “being born from above” or “born again,” resulting in a new creation.
To teach us the necessity of change, the Lord surrounded us with countless examples—from the simplest to the most complex. We can think of:
• The alternation of light and darkness—there is not only day, but also night;
• The succession of seasons, the cycles of vegetation, and the rhythm of life in animals and humans.
Through this continuous repetition—until all things are made new, until only what cannot be shaken remains—we learn that change is not beyond the Creator’s control, but is part of His divine plan.
Things change. We change. Families go through changes. Organizations change. Churches change. Nations change. The face of the earth changes. Everything imperfect changes—until perfection finally makes its presence known, and then change will no longer be needed.
It’s true that some changes are for the better, and others for the worse. We, in the Partners in Evangelism International (PIEI) Romania, accept and desire positive change—both in the work we do and in ourselves, as human beings and as Christians.
We seek to grow in:
• Spiritual maturity,
• Grace,
• The knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
• Skills and abilities that help us serve better, do good, and pursue excellence.
All these are part of our ongoing mission.
One of the things that helped us greatly was yesterday’s Conference on “Innovation and Change Management,” presented by David Sparkman (USA), an expert in leadership and organizational culture.
PIEI missionaries, pastors, businessmen, and women spent time together seeking to understand and learn from the experiences of others—how to raise the standards in the ministries we lead and pursue improvement and excellence in the organizations we represent.
The attendance was not as high as we had hoped, yet this marks a new beginning for PIEI-RO, offering both our members and others the opportunity to change for the better, to excel, to perform, and to bring added value wherever God has placed us—for such a time as this.
“Every organization has its own culture.”
“The way and the reason things are done—in a family, a church, an organization, or a company—reflect who we are.”
The importance of character, values, principles, and protocols defines the culture of an organization. Therefore, we are taking time for prayer, reflection, and implementation—to apply what is useful and increase PIEI’s effectiveness in ministry across Romania.
Join us in prayer that the things we have learned may become practical realities in our personal lives and within our organization.
Pray that we may support others—helping them grow spiritually and educationally through events like this one.
Pray that PIEI-RO will continue to develop a biblical culture that impacts Romanian society.
Pray for abundant fruit—to the glory of God.
We thank you for every prayer and every form of involvement—whether near or far.
If you can bring an innovation to our ministry, we gladly welcome it and thank you!
May the Lord be with you all
