By the grace of God, we find ourselves in the month of July, and as with every update I share, I find it especially difficult to fully describe all the events and blessings of the past month.
Now, by God’s grace, I’ve reached 10 years since my transplant—a great milestone.
One of my constant prayers has been:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
And I rejoice that both of my sons, Daniel and Marius, are actively involved in the Lord’s work, serving alongside me. This is truly a source of great joy.
In addition to this, the ministry with the girls from the orphanages continues to be a deep joy.
Our goal is to lead them into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus.
They often say that their objective is that when Jesus comes to rapture the Church, the orphanage will be left empty.
We thank the Lord Jesus that I now have co-laborers who help us reach a wider area in the region where I serve as a missionary.
Still, the main priority remains making disciples.
I thank the Lord Jesus for sustaining my health and giving me strength to minister wherever I’m invited—within a radius of about 40 kilometers.
I travel to various events such as funerals, workers’ meetings across the county, evangelistic outreaches, weddings, and more.
I also want to mention a recent joy and blessing that touched many hearts in this region: the visit of our great brother Dave Beckwith from the U.S.
He held two courses on the topics of “Anger and Wrath”—both at the Mission Center and at the church in Oiești, as well as with the girls at the Tigveni orphanage.
These sessions were a great blessing.
We prayed that the Lord Jesus would protect and bless him, and reward him as He sees fit, especially now as he travels with Brother Cornel Ștef to Ukraine, where the reality of war is ever-present.
In these days, we have committed to bringing them before the Throne of Grace, asking for protection and that they may return home safely.
We also pray continually for the entire PIEI leadership, both in the U.S. and Romania, fully aware of both the effort and responsibility they carry before the Lord.
The very name of the mission—“Partners” in Evangelism—says it all: we are a team.
I want to mention just a few by name:
— Brother Timotei and his whole family
— Especially for the health of Brother Mike and Sister Alis, who are making tremendous efforts in the mission
— Brother Jenu, whom I personally consider very close to the hearts of the missionaries
— Sister Gabi
— Brother Cornel Ștef, who has a very large area of ministry; I’m often amazed at how much he carries on his heart—for both Romania and Ukraine
— Sister Rodica and Brother Alex—I’ve always considered Sister Rodica a mother to the missionaries, especially to me. We’ve known each other for a long time, and there’s a special heart connection between our families.
-Brother Liviu Dragomir and his wifeand their heart for the ministry
-brother Walter who constantly is talking with brothers and churches to support Romania’s missionary.
I cannot forget the wonderful family of Ed and Didy.
The last time we saw each other—together with Brother Cornel—I was near death, back in 2013, but the Lord Jesus had another plan for me.
Since then, they have sponsored me through PIEI, and I am deeply thankful.
I also want to mention Brother Matei Scheau and Sister Naomi, who, alongside their prayers, sent medication for my wife (who has Alzheimer’s) through Brother Cornel.
Even in this, we have reason to give thanks to God the Father, who holds all things under His control.
To all of you who donate or pray for the PIEI Mission,
May the Lord Jesus reward you as He sees fit. Amen!
With deep gratitude,
In His service,
Traian Chilau - PIEI Romania Missionary
