First of all, I thank the Lord Jesus that even this month I can write a few words about what He is doing through us, the missionaries.
I do not wish to claim any merit—we have simply done what we ought to do as His servants.
To begin with, I want to share a joy! Recently, we had a beautiful time of fellowship in the mission center building in Alba Iulia, where we, the missionaries, gathered together!
We studied the Book of Titus over the course of three days. It was a fruitful dialogue, where we could see both the blessings and the responsibilities entrusted to us.
We also made a trip to Negrilești, where we prayed that God the Father would bless that place and protect it, and that everything done there would be for the glory of God.
In the kitchen, Sister Violeta and Sister Alis treated us with delicious food!
We prayed that the Lord Jesus would reward them all by His grace.
Brother Timotei also challenged us through discussions on the epistle to Titus, and it turned out to be a very beneficial dialogue for everyone involved.
Regarding the local ministry where God has placed us, I want to say briefly—it is grace.
We serve at four orphanage points. (Let me open a parenthesis here.) We travel in two cars, and the children are taken based on an attendance list, where we sign for responsibility. We bring them to the church in Țigveni, where we conduct Bible study and prayer programs.
Our goal is to bring them into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus, and at the same time, to make disciples who will minister among the other girls.
Our vision is that when the Lord Jesus returns to take His Church, the orphanages would be EMPTY. In total, there are over 200 girls.
I also want to mention that in the area there are three Rudar (Roma) villages, each with a planted church. We are focused on raising local leaders, especially young people.
To do this, we use a strategy—we invest more into these local families so that, in turn, they can minister among their own people.
Our focus is on a holy life, delivered from sin, and sound teaching.
We know it’s a hard and difficult road, but we have placed our trust in the grace of God.
For prayer, I would like to mention the three Rudar villages: Rotunda, Valea Uiașca, and Valea Dumirești.
In all these villages, Brother Cornel Ștef and his wife Gabi, along with Brother Alex and his wife Rodica, are actively serving.
Those who have come to Romania and served with us are familiar with these villages.
I thank the Lord Jesus that whenever they come, they encourage us and see the challenges we are facing.
I also deeply thank all those who support the missionaries.
We are praying for the PIEI Committee in both the USA and Romania, as well as for the sponsors who send monthly support: the ED and Daiana family, the Matei family and Sister Naomi, and the two daughters of Mărioara Barac: Gabi and Leontina.
We pray that the Lord Jesus will reward them as He sees fit. Amen!
I would like to end with a verse that strengthens me:
Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Traian Chilau - PIEI Romania Missionary
