We thank God for all the joy and gratefulness that we felt during these holidays! We thank you for all the support you have given us and we wish you a new year filled with peace and the Lord’s blessing. Now, at the beginning of the new year, we would like to entrust you into the Lord’s hand and greet you with Acts 20:32 „Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” ,the greeting of our church in Mihalţ.
We are happy to share with you the latest news from the mission field in which God is using us. With God’s help, we organized a Christmas concert at the Baptist church in Crăciunelu de Jos on the 14th of December. We were filled with joy when we saw that many unbelievers from the village responded to our invitation and the number of participants reached 80. The seed has been planted, now we pray that it will bear fruit.
According to Romanian customs, on the 24th and the 25th of December people usually go caroling from house to house, everyone having their homes and hearts much more open. We used this opportunity to bring the Good News to as many people as possible. We rejoiced that we were able to reach families from several places: Bucerdea Grânoasă, Crăciunelu de Jos, Mihalț, Stâna de Mureș and Ocna Mureș. We visited both the families of the elderly brothers and sisters in the church and the young families with small children. In Mihalt, several unbelievers, knowing that we have this custom, called us beforehand and asked us to come and carol at their homes as well.
We also rejoiced in the fact that sister Sabina, who is 96 years old, was brought home to Mihalt, for a short time, by her daughter, with whom she has been living for several years in a neighboring village. Before setting out to carol, her house has been the meeting point and she was the first person we caroled to, that welcomed us in her home and prayed for us and the work we were about to do.
Prayer requests:
- for wisdom and spiritual discernment from the Lord;
- so that we may be fruitful in the work of the Gospel in this new year;
- for divine protection in spiritual warfare, for us and for those we serve;
- for peace and stability in our country in the year 2026.
