We greatly rejoiced in the fellowship we shared at church on Thanksgiving Day. Just like every year, our small community invites its non-believing neighbors and friends to this event and many of them respond positively to the invitation. Our sorrow is that, although they enjoy the gathering, when leaving they always just say: „Invite us again next year!” We continue to pray that God will work in the hearts of all who were present so that they will respond positively to the message of the Gospel and join us at church every Sunday, not just once a year.

Another event we greatly enjoyed recently was the celebration of 25 years since the beginning of the church-planting work in a neighborhood of the city of Aiud. The area is inhabited largely by Rroma brothers and sisters that have not been reached by the Gospel prior. I was invited to this event because in the early stages of the ministry, I was actively involved in it together with brother Mircea R. He received this vision from the Lord while he was a member of the church in Ocna Mureş, at a time when I was serving there as pastor. In the meantime, brother Mircea was ordained as pastor and he keeps ministering to the Lord’s church in that place. We are grateful to see how God, in His faithfulness, responds when people dedicate themselves to Him and remain faithful in the work entrusted to them.

On another note, we are moving forward with the lessons of the Digital Bible Institute. With the Lord’s help, we have reached lesson 7, titled “Kingdom Praying”. Now that the cold weather has arrived, we have returned to holding the church’s Friday evening meetings in the homes of the believers’ families.

We also took part in a sad event in the past few days. A 45 year old brother from the church of Crăciunelu de Jos, who was working as a truck driver in Germany, passed away after suffering a heart attack. He leaves behind his wife, Neli, now widowed and their 4 children, now orphaned. As a church, we are trying to stand by them in this difficult time.

Prayer requests:

~for Neli and her children, that they may remain close to the Lord;

~for the ministry in which brother Mircea R. is involved;

~for the brothers who are involved in the Digital Bible Institute;

~for our family, for spiritual and physical health.
