By the grace of God, we dedicated the entire month to the theme of the family in all of our church gatherings.
Our prayer meetings focused specifically on the needs and challenges that families are facing. Each week, we prayed intentionally for families struggling with various difficulties. We also visited many of these families, taking time to listen to their burdens. There were moments when we wept together and sought the Lord in prayer, asking Him to bring healing, peace, and restoration.
Every Sunday we had a guest speaker who preached on the subject of the family. Through these messages, many important topics were addressed, including healthy family relationships, resolving conflicts, strengthening marriages, and cultivating genuine fellowship within the home.
We sensed that the church was greatly encouraged during this month. We were reminded how important it is to draw closer to one another, especially as we see how fiercely the enemy is attacking families in these days.
The church is our extended family—a place where we are blessed, protected, and encouraged as we watch over one another and spur one another on toward love and good works.
On the last Sunday of every month, we also have a special time during the service to pray for everyone who celebrated a birthday during that month. We invite them to the front of the church, congratulate them, and present each of them with a small gift.
We praise the Lord for all of these blessed opportunities and special moments through which our faith is strengthened and we rejoice together in the Lord and in one another.
