We greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine.
I. We are grateful to God for the protection and security of our camp in Boyany, for the protection of our guests from the USA, although in the city of Chernivtsi there was another rocket during our stay in the camp, but thank God that it was shot down by the air defense system somewhere in the fields near the city. The Lord is our Good Shepherd, Glory to Him for everything. We are very glad that the group from Romania and the USA have already left for their homes and they are already safe. Glory to God for their ministry here in Ukraine, thank you to all the brothers and sisters from the USA for their participation in the ministry in Ukraine. Who sponsored money for this ministry, thank you very much too. Thus the Kingdom of Heaven is multiplied, glory to God and may God's blessing always be upon you.
As we promised in the last report about our camp that we will soon write you testimonies of those children who repented and accepted Jesus Christ in their hearts. As we wrote, 35 teenagers and children repented. We will not be able to write all the testimonies, but we will gladly share with you some of the most interesting ones. We have already received information from our camp leaders and are ready to share with you this joy that strengthens our hearts in faith.
1. Kovaleva Elena, 16 years old, a displaced person, lives in the village of Mamalyga.
- I am very grateful to God that I was able to rest in this camp. It is difficult for me to live here, because my mother and I lost our home in Kharkov, and here we were given a house to live in where a kindergarten is located. But thank God that there is a roof over our heads. I am very grateful for the invitation to the camp "Candela", which in Russian sounds like Svetilnik. These days are unforgettable for me during this war. I attended a lecture by brother David, and I found his lecture very interesting. He taught us about God's love. At first I couldn't understand why Christ, the Son of God, left all the radiance in heaven for the sake of the people of this dirty world and came to die for us all so that people could be saved from destruction by faith in Him. It was closed to me. But I understood during these lessons that God is not a man. It is a man who does not know how to forgive and love as God does for all of us. I am grateful to God and brother David for these wonderful lessons, and I understood that I can be a Child of God if I believe and accept Christ into my heart. Thank God, thank you to everyone who helped me be in this camp. Pray for me so that the Lord strengthens my little faith. Pray for my mother and brother. So that they too can know Christ. This is great happiness.
2. Lera Zalizko, 11 years old, Kotilevo
- I am very grateful to God that I was able to be in this blessed camp. I also attended lectures by brother David from the USA. I really liked it there. All the days at the camp were very eventful and interesting. Whether it was games or worship in the evening. I found good friends. But the most important thing is that I realized that without Jesus Christ I am nobody. And that only when I come to Him with repentance, He will enter my heart and I will become His Child, glory to God. That is why I went out on Friday evening to the call to repentance. I am very happy that I accepted Christ in my heart. Although my parents are unbelievers, I will pray for them too, so that they too will know Jesus Christ the Savior. Pray for me, so that the Lord will strengthen me in faith. Thank you again for such a wonderful camp.
3. Maxim Payu, 13 years old, Tarasovtsy.
- Thank you very much for such a wonderful camp. I was at the lessons of brother Pavel Petihachny, and we studied the Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Philippians. A very good message. Brother Pavel showed us how to preach the Word of God to people through suffering, trials, and persecution. Apostle Paul experienced this too. And in the end he said that I know how to live in need and in abundance. The main goal of our life is evangelism. And when there was a call to repentance, I immediately went out to give my heart to our Lord Jesus Christ, glory to God. Now I belong to the Lord and will serve Him. Thank you all for such a great camp.
4. David Rusu, 13 years old, Malinovka.
- I also want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all of you who organized such a great camp in Boyany. It was great both in the lessons and the games and the leaders were great. But the best thing in my life happened to me when I accepted the call to repentance of my brother pastor on the last evening of this camp and I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart, glory to God! My parents were very happy about my decision and also thank everyone for such a wonderful camp. May God bless you all who helped us to be in this camp!
5. Arina Dulyak - 12 years old, Marshinci
- Thank you all for the camp. Thank God for the lessons, for the interesting games. Thank God that it was quiet and peaceful. My parents were afraid that there would be rockets flying into the camp, but thank God I returned home alive and well, and at the end of the camp I answered the call to repentance and repented. This is a great joy for me and my family.
6. Yonatan Bukatovich - 13 years old, Tarasovci
- I am very grateful to everyone for this wonderful camp in Boyany. Everything was well organized here. I was in the lessons of teacher Pavlo Petihachny. He taught us very well. I had never read the Epistle to the Philippians, but here in the camp I read this epistle several times. And I remembered it very well. How the Apostle Paul went through so many trials, but his main goal was the gospel. How we should value the Word of the Gospel! This Gospel has survived to us after two thousand years, and we sometimes are so indifferent to the Holy Word. God forgive me because I was one of those indifferent to Your Word. I am glad that on the last day of the camp I gave my heart to the Lord. And my parents also rejoiced with me, glory to God. 7. Vataman Gabriel - 16 years old, Mamaliga
- I am very glad that I got to this camp. I am from an unbelieving family and this is my first time in such a Christian camp. At first, I did not understand how to behave and other behaviors that were incomprehensible to me. But I liked everything. Everything was cultural, well organized from morning until evening. I did not know that you can enjoy reading the Bible. At first, I really entered into this taste for reading the Holy Word, but the Lord touched my heart precisely through the Word of God. That is why I repented on the last day of the camp. Now I am God's Child as it is written in the Gospel of John 1:12. We studied this in the mornings with our leaders. Glory to God for everything and thank you all for a wonderful camp. 8. Vedenov Artem - 13 years old, Mamaliga
- I am very grateful to God that I got to this camp. I had a very good time in this camp. Thank you for the wonderful lessons. We studied the book of Jacob with the teacher Tanya. It was very interesting. I liked both the sports games and the pool. And I am also glad that I accepted Jesus Christ as a Personal Savior in my heart.
9. Vedenov Mark - 14 years old, Mamaliga
- Like my brother, Artem, I am also very grateful that I got to a Christian camp. We really liked the Christian camp program. Very good leaders. Wonderful worship evenings. And a wonderful last evening when my brother and I came forward to accept Jesus Christ in our hearts, Glory to God for everything.
10. Mindrescu Ilya - 15 years old, Marsenci.
- I got to a Christian camp for the first time. And I am from an unbelieving family. But I really liked it here. And the leader, and the teachers and the guys are cool. The camp program was also well organized. And for the first time I got such pleasure from studying the Bible. It is cool to learn and understand the Scripture. And of course, the Word of God touched my sinful heart. And I accepted Christ as Savior in my heart. Pray for me so that I will be firm on the path of faith. Thank you very much for such a cool camp. 11. Gaba Dmitry - 12 years old, Kotileve
- I am very grateful for such a cool camp. This is my first time at such a Christian camp. I liked everything. And being in David's lessons and going through the camp program all day. Cool leaders. Everything is organized. Cool worship evenings. I made good friends at the camp. It's a pity that this camp ended so quickly. Only 5 days is not enough, but thank you for these 5 days of a wonderful camp. Yes, I also feel very good that I understood the call of Christ the Savior and on the last evening of the camp I repented, glory to God.
These and many more such testimonies are from these 35 teenagers who repented in our camp. Only words of gratitude to God, and to everyone who sponsored this camp and to everyone who organized these 5 days of the camp, which all the teenagers who were at the Christian camp of the PIEI UKR mission "Candela" liked so much. The parents of these teenagers also thanked us all for these 5 days of the camp where their children could have such a good rest. We are also grateful to the team from the USA, headed by the president of the mission PIEI Cornel Stef, for their ministry here in our churches with glasses, Debbie Conri doctor, Sindy & Gabriel conselier, Marius Chilau & Daniel Petrut, consilier. And also titcer David Beckwith for his ministry in our camp. The children loved him very much. Glory to God for His protection over them. We were very worried because during that week of staying in the camp another rocket flew in Chernivtsi, but thank God that it was shot down and it fell somewhere in the outskirts of the city. Thank God that our brothers and sisters from the USA and Romania have already left for their homes and all worries about them are behind us. May the Lord continue to protect us all from all evil. II. Prayer requests:
-Dear brothers and sisters, we have written you several testimonies of our teenagers who repented in our camp. There are many more. Pray for these 35 teenagers who repented. Pray also for those who watched with tears in their eyes that evening, but have not yet decided to repent. The Lord does wonderful things through our weaknesses. We are only His weak vessels, and He is Almighty, Merciful and Almighty. And we are happy that the Lord, through us, the weak, does great things, Glory to Him! And the most wonderful things are when a sinful person repents before God and accepts Christ in his heart. Let us pray together for these children.
-Pray for the war in Ukraine to end and for the long-awaited peace to come to Ukraine.
And we pray for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. Thank you for everything you have done for us, for your support and for sponsoring our camp.
Мay the Lord bless you, your families, your churches and your country USA abundantly!
With love to you, Petikhachnyy Pavel & Larisa family.
