“Ebenezer — Thus Far the Lord Has Helped Us”

May you be blessed also in the year we have recently entered.

If I were to give a brief retrospective of the year 2025, I can say, “with my hand on my heart,” that is, sincerely: Ebenezer—thus far the Lord has helped us.

The work of P.I.E.I. in Romania has enjoyed the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, both regarding the missionaries and their mission fields, as well as the organization itself.

The missionaries were involved in evangelism, teaching within churches, and equipping those who desired to grow and serve others. This also included ministry carried out together with short-term mission teams from the USA, who served through teaching, VBS programs, children’s camps, construction projects, eyeglass ministries, personal evangelism, testimonies, and many other activities.

For the year ahead, 2026, God willing, we have decided to:

  • Continue to trust in the Lord, to grow in the knowledge of Him, and to pray for our families and for our people.

  • Work more intentionally in evangelism and in winning people to faith in Christ the Lord.

  • Equip individuals for ministry and for counseling those who are struggling with various life challenges.

  • Focus our attention on families and family life.

  • Pray for and invest in children, instilling Christian values and principles that will guide their lives.

  • Seek, develop, and delegate holy responsibilities to those to whom we can entrust the “baton.”

  • Encourage the involvement of women/sisters—an important segment of the churches—as co-heirs with us, actively engaged in the work to which the Lord has called them.

  • Ensure that the poor, orphans, and widows are not overlooked, but that we assume responsibility for their care, according to our ability, as a major aspect of the ministry.

We will continue the organization and renovation of the PIEI Christian Center in Alba Iulia: preparing the upstairs hall, rooms, and kitchen; replacing furniture where needed; installing gas heating systems; modernizing the bathrooms; and repainting the walls. We want this to be a welcoming place where those who desire to use it can fully benefit from proper conditions.

The vacation house in Necrilești, God willing, will be made available to churches and missionaries for Christian activities, meetings, or rest. We also desire to build a pavilion and arrange a sports field nearby. Certainly, we plan to use this location for outings and trips with the children of the churches where we serve as missionaries.

The PIEI Christian Center in Podari we want to place entirely in the service of the Lord. Therefore, we are interested in completing the rooms, repair work, and equipping the heating system, kitchen, and bathrooms. This center is intended to help and support the ministry in the Oltenia region. We are also praying and seeking someone willing to relocate and oversee this work.

We do not know what the future holds, but we desire to be found faithful in what has been entrusted to us and to be fruitful for the glory of our Heavenly Father.

As for us, we are ready for service and sacrifice, but we would be deeply grateful and give thanks to God for any support—especially from those who desire to be physically involved in any of the ministries mentioned above.

Therefore, if you desire to give value to the gift you have received from the Holy Spirit, you can do so together with us, the PIEI missionaries in Romania.

Regardless, we are praying for you all, our brothers and sisters, and we wish you grace in all that you do.

Please pray for us as well. We are convinced that what we are doing is good, and we desire that God be glorified forever.
