We thank God that each year He provides the opportunity for children to attend our camps free of charge. We serve a God who knows every community and understands the unique needs of the people who live there.
Beciu is a village where many families struggle just to make ends meet. Many cannot afford a family vacation, and they certainly do not have the means to send their children to a summer camp in the mountains or by the sea. This year has made life even more difficult, with rising taxes, increased health insurance costs, higher food prices, electricity bills, fuel costs, and many other everyday expenses.
During one of our camps, a seventeen-year-old girl deeply impressed me after the five-day program had ended. She had been profoundly touched by everything she had seen and heard during the camp. She remembered each day from morning until evening, enthusiastically describing every game, every Bible lesson, and every person she had met.
What fascinated her most, however, was the people she encountered there.
She said, “The leaders here are so different from the people in the world I come from. They are full of love and genuine care. Their attitude, their kindness, and the way they speak to others are unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life.”
Hearing such words of appreciation for my brothers and sisters in Christ filled my heart with joy. I pray that God will continue to bless them with wisdom, discernment, and strength as they faithfully serve Him.
I also pray for this young woman—that the Lord will continue to reveal Himself to her and that she will come to know and receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
My prayer is that God would make each one of us the salt of the earth and the light of the world, reflecting Christ wherever He places us. We invite you to join us in praying that He will accomplish this in our lives.
Thank you to everyone who faithfully takes the time to read these ministry letters. We are also grateful to the PIEI team, whose faithful service makes it possible for these updates to reach you.
May God richly bless each one of you!
