During the winter season, one of our projects is to help widowed sisters with firewood and to provide gifts for children.
This year, unfortunately—as was also the case last year—we had only one supporter for the first project. Last year we managed to help two of the sisters with firewood. This year, however, we have not ceased to pray that God Himself would take care of the needs of each sister.
We were not able to purchase firewood, as the funds were very limited, but God made it possible for us to provide food instead. Four of the sisters are widows, between the ages of 65 and 76. Three of them rely on social assistance and are unable to cover all their expenses.
The sisters were deeply joyful for the food they received just before the holidays; they did not expect such a surprise. God is the One who answered the prayers lifted up to Him for each of these sisters, as well as for a few needy families in our community.
We thank the Lord that He has never left us. We also thank all of you who pray for the mission work in the village of Beciu. We are grateful to all our brothers and sisters from the PIEI team who work alongside us in spreading the Gospel and who make it possible for these letters to reach you.
May God bless you and reward you a hundredfold for all your labor.
