I have to be thankful...

I must thank the Lord Jesus that even this month I have had the opportunity to give this report, just as the Apostle Paul the Apostle once said: “what God had done through his ministry” (Acts 21:19).

We must share something of what God is doing, but if we fail to see the Lord Jesus and instead focus on ourselves, that is not good. Many times I have asked myself: What is our role in God’s plan? Why did He save us? Why does He leave us on this earth? What will we do in eternity?

I do not know who is reading these lines, or whether you have asked yourself these same questions: What will I take with me into eternity? If I cannot take with me what I have here, then what will I take?

To all these questions, I have found only one answer: the Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 15:5, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Looking back, I am not ashamed of the life I have lived with the Lord Jesus. Together with Him, I have built two houses from the ground up. One was for a family with 12 children, who, if we had not built that house, were at risk of losing their lives. This house was built in the village of Valea Dumirești. Another house was built from the foundation in the village of Rotunda.

These are all stories marked by tragedy. One family went to Hungary to work in order to build a small home, but the husband died there. I ask you to believe me—I could not sleep at night, wondering how to solve these problems. They were beyond my strength.

But God is faithful and always has His servants.

All of you who read these lines should know this for certain: we do not go to heaven with what we have here. But what we pass on from here—this is what we will meet again there.

I am also involved in ministry at several orphanages in the area. If you were here, as many times brother Cornel, Gabi Ștef, sister Rodica, and Alex Popa have been, you would see how things are. Often, I am told that they have spoken with the girls by phone—and many times those girls know even before I do when someone is coming to visit them. I do not mind, because they call them “Mother Gabi,” “Father Cornel,” “Mother Rodica,” and so on.

I share all these things not to pressure anyone into doing something, but rather to encourage each one to listen to their heart and to what God is telling them to do. Surely, a reward awaits us in heaven.

I will stop here. To all those whose hearts the Lord Jesus opens to become involved in advancing the Kingdom of God—be assured that a reward awaits you in heaven at His coming. As it is written in Revelation 22:12: “Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done.”

We pray for the PIEI committee in Romania and in the USA, and for all those whom God places it on their hearts to support the missionary work of PIEI in Romania. May God the Father, who is Almighty, provide you with everything you need. Maranatha!!
