I would like to begin this update with some wonderful news! On October 6 of this month, I celebrated my 77th birthday. This year also marks 50 years since I received the Lord Jesus into my heart, as well as 11 years since I underwent a liver transplant. With so many significant milestones in my life, God has graciously blessed me with the opportunity to take a vacation in the United States after 13 years.
I was especially glad to visit brothers and sisters who are going through times of suffering and illness, and to offer encouragement wherever it was needed. At the same time, I stayed in touch with my ministry partners back home in Romania and was kept informed about the most important developments. We were able to work through many issues together, for which I am thankful.
I was also encouraged to hear that the Food Bank team has continued visiting the poor villages where I minister. These visits have been a wonderful opportunity to see God’s provision at work and to give Him much thanks and praise.
As I write this update, I am in Florida visiting my daughter and grandchildren. I am looking forward to attending church this Saturday, where Brother Cornel and Sister Gabi, as well as Brother Alex and Sister Rodica, serve the Lord. I have already been in touch with Brother Neluțu and Sister Aurica, and I plan to be with them on two Sundays, October 18 and 25.
My prayer has been that wherever God takes me, I will be a blessing to the people I meet. I will share some photos later and also let you know more about my visits.
I would like to ask those whom God places it on their hearts to remember me in prayer, as well as the U.S. team that is already serving in Romania. May God grant all of us His grace, for His grace is sufficient for us!
I am also praying for the PIEI Romania Committee—Brother Timotei, Brother Jenu, and Brother Mike—as well as the PIEI USA Committee: Brother Cornel and Sister Gabi Ștef, Brother Alex and Sister Rodica, and all those who pray for us and support the ministry financially.
We pray that the Lord Jesus will reward each one of you for your faithfulness and generosity, individually, as families, and as churches.
Today, I read from Ezekiel 36:26:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you…”
What a wonderful promise from God! May He continue to renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and guide us in His work.
