By the grace of God, we find ourselves nearing the end of the year 2025.
And every time I reach the end of a year, I ask myself this question: How did I live this year?
Is the Lord Jesus pleased with the way I lived?
Did I live more for myself, or for Him?
What “grade” would He give me?
In 1 Corinthians, chapter 11, I found these words: “Let each one examine himself.”
It is not wrong to take stock of our lives. Salvation is received by faith, but the reward is according to each one’s faithfulness.
This month, in particular, we have had a great deal of activity. One new and joyful development is that we have reopened a church where, for almost a year, no one had been gathering. The village is called Vâlsănești.
Another joy I would like to share is that Sarah Ștef came to visit us. I must testify that she was a great help in preparing and distributing gifts for the winter holidays, and I can truly say that she has been a blessing so far. We pray that the Lord Jesus will reward her as He sees fit.
So far, we have visited the village of Rotunda, the Tigveni Orphanage, and two smaller orphanages in Băilești and Ciofringeni. Everywhere we went, Sarah was at the center of attention—all the girls wanted to take pictures with her. I believe it was a unique experience.
Because the children are now spread across different centers, it is more difficult for us to transport them from various locations to the church in Tigveni for the services. But God, who is with us, will grant us grace.
I would also like to mention that it has been a long time since I last went to church three times in one day (on a Sunday), in different villages. I found myself praying as the disciples once prayed:
“Grant Your servants boldness to proclaim Your word.”
In closing, I want you to know that we carry you in prayer every day and bring you before the Throne of Grace, asking the Lord Jesus to include you in His chariot of victory:
the PIEI Committee in Romania and the USA; sister Gabi and brother Cornel Ștef, sister Rodica and brother Alex Popa, brother Liviu Dragomir and his wife, as well as brother Timotei, brother Jenu, and brother Mike;
and also all current and future sponsors—may God reward each one abundantly, both as families and as churches.
Amen.
In the grace of God,
Traian Chilau - PIE Romania Missionary
