Evangelism & Baptism in our church

With God’s help, we had two evangelistic events.

Evangelism – A Team with Glasses

The first was when we had a team that offered consultations and eyeglasses for everyone.

We were glad that people responded to our invitation and that quite a few came. Most of them were from outside the church—some even visited our church for the very first time.

Before their eye consultation, each person first went to one of the spiritual counseling teams. There they had the opportunity to share the problems they were facing and to hear from the Gospel how God has an answer for everything and how much He cares about each life.

Everyone was glad to hear the prayer that the brothers lifted up for them.

After that, each received a brochure and a New Testament before going on to receive their glasses.

Many of them left both happy and encouraged by what they had heard and by the glasses they received.

We believe the Lord will surely continue to work in their hearts.

Evangelism with Children – VBS

We also had another week of VBS with the children.

There were between 30 and 50 kids,

and a team of volunteers from Betania Church in Sibiu worked with them under the theme “Builders on Heaven’s Construction Site.”

Each day had a special theme, anchored in God’s Word, and the children had a verse to memorize. Then followed crafts and fun games. I should also mention that each day began with a time of worship together, after which they divided into groups.

We believe the Lord will make the seed planted in their hearts bear fruit at the time He has appointed.

The Baptism

The Lord led two people—a brother and a sister (Pavel and Dorina)—to make the decision to testify of their faith in the waters of baptism.

It was a wonderful celebration and a special occasion for evangelism.

The church hall was full, and many of their relatives and friends came for the event.

We saw many tears of joy, and many hearts were deeply touched.

Some with whom I spoke shared that they were impressed by what they saw (the way the baptism was done) and also by what they heard from God’s Word.

We pray that He will help the two of them remain strong in their faith, and that others will be led to follow their example.

Thank you for your prayers, and we pray that the Lord will richly bless you.
