Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
By the grace and mercy of God, we were able to preach the Word of God this month, even though war is still raging in Ukraine and there is still unrest everywhere. But the Lord is always our protection and our refuge. Glory to Him for all He does for us. I am very grateful to God for helping me preach the Word to people who don't know God throughout this month.
1. I held the Lord's Supper at the church in the village of Nesvoi and simultaneously prepared to go to those brothers and sisters who were unable to come to church.
2. Evangelism at a nursing home
- I also held a mini-evangelism at a nursing home for the elderly in the neighboring village of Stalnivtsi. Three women attended this evangelism and listened to the Word of God. They received the Word with love. One sister from our church was there, and she wanted to participate in the Lord's Supper. My wife, Larisa, and I helped these needy people with money so they could maintain their hygiene and cleanliness.
3. Gratitude for an answered prayer
- We visited Brother Vasily Preutes, our missionary, and together with his family, we thanked God for an answered prayer. For helping him overcome such difficulties. Now he is preparing to return to the Church for service, may the Lord help him.
- For the past two weeks, I have helped my wife, Larisa, walk for medical procedures. Her right knee was very painful. I drove her to this clinic every day for procedures, and now, thank God, she is a little better. We pray that the Lord grant Larisa a complete healing.
We also pray for missionary Vasily Preutes, that the Lord grant him a complete recovery.
4. Ministry at the Bible Institute
- I finished studying the first part of the Book of Isaiah with the students. I am currently preparing to study and teach the second part of the Book of Isaiah. I pray to God for His help in this study of God's Word.
5. Thanksgiving
-I thank God for protecting our area from enemy missile attacks this month.
-We thank God for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for your support and help, and for your prayers for us.
-We thank God for helping us visit and evangelize at the nursing home.
-We thank God for helping our brother, missionary Vasily Preutes, return to ministry.
6. Prayer requests:
-We, the missionaries of PIEI Ukraine, will organize and hold a Thanksgiving feast in our churches for the harvest. Pray for all of us that we may properly thank our Lord for the harvest and for His care for us throughout this year. Pray for peace, without bombs or missiles. And for people to come and hear God's Word during our evangelistic outreaches.
- Pray for peace in Ukraine, for this senseless war to end.
- Pray that the Lord will continue to protect us from all evil.
Pray for my health and the health of my wife, Larisa, so that we can continue to labor in God's field.
And we pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. We love you and always pray for you, that the Lord will bless you abundantly.
With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel & Larisa.
