With grateful hearts before God, we would like to share a special milestone in the life of Emanuel Baptist Church in Craiva.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, during a special worship service, the church held a pastoral succession service. After 34 years of faithful ministry, Brother Ioan Chiș entrusted the pastoral leadership of the church to Brother Emanuel Joldoș, a son of the church whom God has called to continue this ministry.
We were blessed by the fellowship of the leaders from the Sibiu Baptist Association. Brother Sabin Boruga, President of the Association, and Brother Gigi Dobrin, a member of the Association’s leadership team, joined us and brought biblical messages of encouragement and exhortation for both the church and its new pastor.
Also sharing in this joyful celebration were Pastors Traian Nemeș, Petrică Botar, and George Crăciunel.
We thank the Lord for the abundant grace He has poured out on this church throughout the years and for His faithful guidance as it enters this new season of ministry. We pray that this transition will strengthen the spiritual growth of the congregation and result in an even greater testimony of the Gospel in Craiva and the surrounding communities.
Prayer Requests
* Give thanks to the Lord for Brother Ioan Chiș’s 34 years of faithful ministry and for the impact God has made through his life.
* Pray that the Lord will grant me wisdom, strength, love, and guidance as I serve in pastoral ministry.
* Pray for the unity, spiritual maturity, and active involvement of the members of Emanuel Baptist Church in Craiva.
* Pray that the Gospel will reach many more people in Craiva and the surrounding villages, and that God will add new souls to His Kingdom.
* Pray that God will raise up new workers and dedicated servants for His harvest and bless the entire missionary ministry of the church.
