The Church
As the pastor of the Holy Trinity Baptist Church in the city of Victoria, I am actively involved in seeing this renewal of the inner man become a reality. We have made this a priority in the life of our church.
This is what I am laboring for and striving toward, so that my race may not be in vain.
As always, the emphasis is placed on the study of the Holy Scriptures. Every Thursday evening, we gather together as lovers of God’s Word around the Epistle to the Romans.
We rejoiced as we discussed the convictions every Christian should have — convictions that make us strong and steadfast on our journey of faith.
Missionaries
I thank the Lord for each missionary and for the efforts they make in evangelizing and discipling all those who have believed in the Lord Jesus.
Every Monday, we meet online to discuss various topics and situations we encounter in ministry. The most recent discussion focused on the subject of marriage between a member of the Baptist Church and a member of the Catholic Church.
A special emphasis is placed on prayer.
We thank the Lord for His constant care, for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and for the fellowship we enjoy with Him and with one another.
We ask for His blessing upon all those who are involved in His work.
We bring our intercessions before the Lord for our brothers and sisters in PIEI, both in Romania and throughout the world.
We also remember the legitimate needs of God’s children in local churches everywhere. All those who support the ministry in Romania are continually remembered in our prayers.
Reaching Romania
We are actively involved every day in bringing people to faith.
We thank the Lord for the three locations that PIEI has in Romania, and we desire for them to become as effective as possible in accomplishing this purpose.
The PIEI Christian Center in Alba Iulia is a place where churches can gather for various events.
Young people can enjoy a space for youth meetings, sports activities, and other programs.
Children have a special place where they can learn English and German, as well as participate in spiritual and sports-related activities.
We are preparing for the month of June, when the first mission team from the USA will arrive, so they can participate together with the children in an English camp.
Also, in July, when the second mission team from the USA comes to Romania, we are planning to organize a sports competition where young people from churches, together with their friends, can spend quality time together, while those who love football and volleyball can showcase their abilities. Certainly, the message of the Gospel will not be forgotten.
Necrilești
The vacation house and its surrounding property are currently under the attention of the PIEI Committee in Romania.
The land has been prepared for the construction of a pavilion — a place where those who choose to spend a special vacation centered on Christian values will fully benefit.
If last year we had only one camp, this year we are thankful to have four.
As things continue to progress well, we believe we will be able to meet a large part of the requests coming from young people and churches throughout the country.
Podari
This is another place we have previously written about, and one that we desire to introduce as a center for Christian activities.
We continue to pray and search for a family willing to move to Podari and serve there both as administrators and missionaries.
We are seeking a full understanding of the Lord’s will. We would like this place to be used to meet social needs and help the poor. In every aspect of this ministry, we desire for people to “meet” the Lord Jesus and grow in the knowledge of Him.
Christian Care
We believe that the Lord’s work involves not only preaching the Gospel and discipling those who are saved, but also caring for those who have little or nothing — food, clothing, health, freedom, or shelter. These are the people who will weigh heavily in the day of judgment.
That is why PIEI considers this ministry a priority.
Orphans, widows, the sick, the poor, and strangers are constantly and continually assisted by the workers of PIEI in Romania.
International Mission
As the PIEI Committee in Romania, we rejoice to have established a partnership with a brother from Ethiopia. We are working toward involving him in the mission field of Partners in Evangelism International in Romania. His experience as a pastor is a great help to us.
We are also interested in finding ways to help those in Ethiopia.
At the same time, I am working to build a relationship with two Christians from India who came to Romania to work on the construction of a highway. My desire is that, in Victoria, they would find both a church and a Christian home and family — a place that helps them understand that they are no longer strangers, but “members of the household.”
Closing
Thank you for everything you are doing so that God’s work may continue to advance here in Romania.
Pray for us, that we would not grow weary.
Pray that we may bring to completion all the things that have been started.
Pray that this year also may bear fruit in the salvation and spiritual maturity of disciples.
Pray for the short-term mission teams, that they may be protected and blessed with new spiritual experiences through their time in Romania.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and with your households.
His servant,
Stinea Timotei - PIEI Romania National Director
