Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Two weeks ago, we had the joy of working in the mission point at Beciu with a team of students from Torchbearers. There were a total of sixteen young people, aged between twenty and twenty-eight.
Together, we worked on cleaning the playground area for children within the church grounds, poured concrete for a room measuring six meters in length and four meters in width, filled in a trench thirty-five meters long where a drainage pipe from the septic tank was laid, and filled in a pit two meters deep, three meters long, and one and a half meters wide where the septic tank had been installed.
We also organized two teams who collected trash throughout the village, while also doing street evangelism, and we held activities for the children.
One of the most remarkable and touching aspects for me was seeing the local people passing by on the street, stopping in amazement to see what was happening in the church yard. They didn’t know where I had gathered so many people to help me.
We thank God, who placed it on the hearts of the Torchbearers leaders to come to our aid—not just to help us personally, but to support the work of evangelism. There is still a need for teams like this, who are willing not to serve us, but to serve God and His work.
In these young people, I saw determined individuals, hard workers who didn’t waste time and fully dedicated themselves to the purpose for which they came. If I were to think about the way they worked, I couldn’t find any difference between the young women and the young men, because the girls worked just as hard as the boys—side by side with them.
We pray that God will bless such young people and reward them a hundredfold.
This was the first time we were helped by such a large group of young people—it was a day of peace, a special day that left an impression on everyone who passed by.
We invite you to continue supporting us in your prayers, and we thank you for taking the time to read these ministry updates.
We also thank the organization PIEI, of which we are a part, for making it possible for us to send you these letters.
May you be blessed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for all your support!
With love and respect,
Sfetcu Florin & Alina - PIEI Romania Missioanries
