I met Remus several years ago while serving in the mission work in Albac. I visited him several times. He had been abandoned by his family and had fallen into heavy drinking. I prayed with him, brought him some clothes, and encouraged him to open his heart and receive the Lord.
I also visited Nicușor in the hospital in Câmpeni. He was very discouraged because of his illness, but his heart was open to the Lord. I drove him home from the hospital and helped him gather the hay that had already been cut.
The sports activities with the young people who were home during their summer vacation have also continued, especially in the evenings when it was cooler. We spent time together playing sports and then enjoyed a soft drink or some mineral water together. These simple moments have given us valuable opportunities to build relationships and share with them.
Prayer Requests
* For Remus — that he would come to know the Lord personally and surrender his life to Him.
* For Nicușor and his family — especially for his wife and children, who are not believers. Please pray that they, too, will come to know the Lord.
* For Flavius, Andrei, and Dani — the young men from the soccer group. Please pray that they will come to trust in the Lord and place their lives in His hands.
