Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Half of autumn has already passed, where, with God's help and grace, we labored and served in God's Vineyard. Praise God for this favorable time, for the peace and tranquility in our region during this time of war in Ukraine, so we can safely serve God and share His Word with the people.
1. Meeting of PIEI Ukraine missionaries.
- On October 11th, we had a meeting of PIEI Ukraine missionaries in Novoselytsia at Emmanuel Church, hosted by missionary brother Valery Popov. It was a blessed meeting, where we all enjoyed the Word of God. Pastoral brothers and guests from England were also present at our meeting. They told us how the Lord had blessed them, and from four members, the church grew to 400. When we give the Holy Spirit room in our church ministries, the Lord manifests miracles—people's repentance. We also prayed for our missionary service in this turbulent time, where the war still rages. We also prayed for our sponsors from the United States and our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine. May the Lord bless everyone with health, success, peace, and joy in Christ Jesus. We prayed for the Lord to bless the PIEI Mission Jubilee, marking 40 years since the founding of this God-blessed PIEI Mission. Praise God for miraculously blessing our partners from the United States, as well as all international missionaries. During this time, the Lord has blessed His Seed, His Holy Word, and many souls have found the Lord Christ in their hearts.
2. Studying the Word of God at the Bible Institute
- From September 29th to October 10th, we held a session with students on the book of Isaiah, part 2, via Zoom. It was a very blessed session. The books of the prophet Isaiah are the Gospels of the Old Testament, because they speak so much about Jesus Christ, His suffering, His redemption, His deliverance, and His coming to this earth. He conquered the darkness and brought us the true light that enlightens every person living on this earth. Isaiah 9:1-2. This is a very interesting book that inspires us to be vigilant and pray, that we may be ready for the coming of our Lord.
3. Thanksgiving
- We are grateful to God for the peace in our area, so we can serve people here without any worries.
- We thank you for praying for Roman, a soldier from our village who was surrounded. Now these soldiers have managed to escape and are awaiting reinforcements to break out of this encirclement. We must continue to pray for them. Roman called us and asked us to pray for them.
- We always thank God for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for your financial support and in your prayers for us.
4. Prayer requests:
- Pray for the war in Ukraine to end.
- We pray for all the soldiers from our village and neighboring villages, that the Lord will protect them from all evil.
- Pray for me. I have to go to the hospital on November 4th. I will undergo spinal stenosis surgery. The surgery is risky, but we believe the Lord will grant healing and bless the surgeons. I really wanted to come to the USA for the Jubilee Meeting of all our PIEI mission partners, but I was unable to do so due to my health. All is in the Lord's hands. We believe the Lord will hear our prayers and yours, and the surgery will be successful. He is our Healer and Miracle Doctor, glory to Him.
We always pray for you and will pray for your meeting in Chicago, that the Lord will bless this meeting. We will be with you heart and soul.
Please accept our heartfelt Christian greetings.
With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.
