Ministry with the team from USA

Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, we greet you with the love and peace of Jesus Christ!

We are very grateful to God for the fact that this month he led us with His Wonderful Hand and we were able to preach His Word among the refugee people, together with a team of brothers and sisters from the USA.

1. Evangelism in refugee homes:

-June 29, with God's help and thanks to the prayers of your and our churches, a team of 7 people from the USA, Indiana, La Porte, led by brother Cornel Steph, President of the PIEI mission, arrived in Ukraine, in our Bukovina. they also brought us humanitarian aid (products) so that we could get this help to displaced people and poor people from our region.

We had a special program for this team, for every day, in all our villages of the Novoseletsky district, and in the city of Chernivtsi, to visit refugees from North-Eastern Ukraine in their homes where they temporarily live. The team was divided into 3 groups and within 5 days visited the refugees before lunch and after lunch. And in Martha's group, Sarah and Elizabeth organized a children's program from 15:00 to 17:00, where Sarah and Elizabeth worked with these children. They had 4 meetings with children from different villages in Bukovina: In Tarasovtsy, in Kotilevo, in Rokitne and in Novoselitsa. The children really liked this program. The children invited these sisters to come to us. Also sister Marta, a very energetic sister. She had a conversation with different refugees. waiting for some consolation in their troubles. They had different questions. Why, why and how should we go further? We talked with these people for a very long time. Sister Martha and Sarah, and Elizabeth helped us a lot. Also, pastors from these churches were with us and with the help of the Bible and the Holy Spirit we gave answers to these people. Together we prayed for them. We gave them packages with food and also gave everyone a book of the New Testament so that they themselves read and study the Word of God. Many of these refugees who were visited by us came to the meeting on Sunday. everyone was invited to our churches for Sunday service. One woman during our visits, repented, her name is Valentina. She also came to the church in Kotilevo on Sunday and went out in front of the church and wept that she could not repent earlier. Because the Lord blessed her with a good husband and beautiful 3 children, but she did not fulfill the will of the Lord and asked for forgiveness, with tears, from God. She prayed for her husband Fedor so that he would repent.

On Sunday, July 3, and in our church in the village of Nesvoya, our guests br. Kornel Stef, pastor Kevin Cram, sister Martha Hauch, Sarah Stef and Elizabeth Trowbridge also visited our church, where we had a wonderful fellowship around the Word of God .Our guests Brother Cornell and Pastor Kevin had sermons to instruct our church. There were also unbelievers in our service who listened attentively to the Word. We pray for them that the Holy Spirit will test their hearts and that they will repent.

Also in the afternoon we visited a church from the village of Fagadeu (Vancikauti), where we had an edifying ministry and preached pastor Kevin and brother Cornell. There were 3 unbelieving women and they really liked listening to the Word. They promised that they would come to the meeting.

On July 4, we met with the entire team from the USA in Novoselitsa, at the Emmanuel Church, where the pastor, missionary br. Popov Valery. All our missionaries with their families and a team of missionaries from the USA had a wonderful meeting there. They prayed that the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, would continue the work of awakening to repentance in the hearts of these people who heard the Word of God. Also, the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission thanked our brothers and sisters from the US team, Indiana, for their visit to us. For their service and help in our ministry here in Ukraine. We had a beautiful table of love, and then we were divided into 3 groups. First a group of missionary brothers with brother Cornell, pastor Kevin and brother David, the second sister of the wife of our missionary brothers, together with sister Martha and sister Carola from the USA, and the third child and grandchildren of our missionary brothers where Sarah and Elizabeth studied with them. It was a blessed meeting and we are grateful to God and the team from the USA for all these days of fellowship that we had and for their ministry here between us.

On July 5 in the morning, we gathered again in Novoselitsa, and handed over our brothers and sisters from the USA in the hands of Almighty God and accompanied the team from the USA to the border with Romania. We are very grateful to God for helping them cross the border safely and they safely reached Alba Yuliya. We pray that they go safely to the USA and arrive safely each to their family. We believe that the Lord will help them in everything.

2. Gratitude.

We are very grateful to the Lord that He heard our prayers and blessed the brothers and sisters from the USA, blessed their arrival to us, their stay among us. Although we are very anxious because of this war. The Lord protected us all_Glory to Him for everything!

-We are grateful to the Lord for humanitarian aid which was brought by a team from the USA. We carried this help and continue to carry it to the refugees and the poor who live among us. We give gum. help and at the same time we bring them the Word of God that heals the hearts of the poor, tormented and sick people.

-Thank you for your support in our ministry here in Ukraine.

3. Prayer needs:

-Pray with us that the Lord bless this work done by the US team among our refugees and children. May the Lord bless and awaken all the hearts of these people and give repentance.

-Pray for our children's camps that will be in Tarasovtsy and Kotilev from July 11th.

-Pray for our Christian youth camp, Non Stop, mission PIEI Ukraine, which will be from August 1 to August 6. For the Lord to protect us all. God grant that it will continue to be quiet so that we calmly proclaim the Word of God to these children.

-Pray for the team from the USA, which will come to Ukraine on August 1, led by brother Cornel Steph, to participate with us in the program of our camp. Pray for the teachers and leaders. Pray that the Lord will protect the team from the USA on the way to us, during your stay with us and on your way back home.

And we pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, that the Lord bless you all and always thank the Lord for you. May the Lord bless you and give you a hundredfold blessings!

With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

Humanitarian aid from Romania

Blessed be the Lord who gives us His revelations, blessings, and help to refugees every day.

1. This month, as a PIEI Ukraine mission, we received from the PIEI America and PIEI Romania missions the third Humanitarian Transport of two humanitarian vehicles led by the President of the PIEI Cornel Stef mission. They arrived early in the morning, on Sunday, and before unloading these cars, we planned these brothers in 3 churches: the Church from the village of Rakitnoe where Brother Timothy Stanya and Brother Beni from Romania preached, and in Dinivtsi Brother Cornel Steph and brother from the USA Walter Windsor. Rodika, where Rodika's sister sang a song to the glory of the Lord and Brother Alex preached the Word and encouraged the church with the Word of God. After the service, everyone came to Novoselitsa and unloaded these 2 cars with the help that the brothers brought to us so that we could continue to help and distribute them to our refugees. We heartily thanked our brothers for this necessary help in our troubled times. After a delicious lunch, we met again in another room with our missionaries and their families, and with our guests from the PIEI America & Romania mission: Brother Cornell Steph, Brother Walter, Popa Alex, and Rodica's family, Brother Timothy Stanya, PIEI Romania Mission Director. , and brother Beni from Romania. These brothers encouraged us, the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission and our wives, with their speeches so that we could serve all people and refugees in Ukraine during this difficult time.

-All our missionaries were very grateful to all the brothers and sisters from Romania and the United States who collected and brought us this humanitarian. If they did not help us, we would not be able to help refugees and all those in need, and at the same time preach the Word of God would they accept Jesus Christ in their hearts.

-In the evening I accompanied all our guests to the border with Romania. We were glad to hear that our guests arrived safely in Romania, and our guests from the United States arrived safely in America, we prayed about it-Thank God!

2. On Sunday, June 5, he conducted bread breaks in two churches in Nesvoi and Balkovtsi. After the service, we visited the sick and conducted mini evangelizations in their homes. We also gave them the opportunity to participate in the bread breaks.

-On the same day I returned to Chernivtsi from the church of the village of Nesvoya, and I conducted bread breaks with the sick who live in Chernivtsi. I preached the Word in their homes and together they remembered the death and suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3. According to ZOOM, I conducted classes at the Bible Institute with 15 students. With these classes, I prepare new students so that they can continue to serve in churches with young people, with children, and with the Church of Christ.

4.Thanks:

-We always thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters from the United States and Romania, for supporting us spiritually and with your prayers, at the same time and materially, when you really help us in this difficult time for us. We thank you for these 3 transport with humanitarian aid and thanks to this we can help people in need and refugees with food and other assistance.

-Thank God that He saved the lives of our missionaries and that they can serve people in word and deed.

We thank the Lord for the group of Americans and missionaries from Romania who visited us, encouraged us, and brought help to refugees and those in need.

5. Prayer needs:

-Pray that the war is over.

-Pray for a group of 8 brothers and sisters from America who should come to us in Ukraine, on June 29, so that they can get to us safely, so that we have a peaceful sky in the Chernivtsi region, and so that they can work with refugees.

- Pray for us, the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, so that we can properly organize the arrival of the group from the United States and the time of their stay here with us so that they can succeed in evangelism among our refugees, here in our places.

We also pray for you, dear brothers and sisters, that the Lord may bless you all and return to you a hundredfold blessing for you and your families.

My family sends you all a Christian Greetings!

With love, the family of Petikhachny Pavel and Larisa.

Work with refugees

Greetings, dear brothers and sisters, with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We thank Our Lord for the fact that in this difficult time for Ukraine, we, the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, are working in the field of God with full dedication.

1. Breaking bread:

-With God's help, I held communion services in 4 churches: Nesvoya, Forosna, Zhilovka and Podvirnoye. In these churches, they visited and the sick in their homes conducted mini evangelizations: they sang psalms, and preached the Word and made communion for these sick people. non-believers and we invited them to the House of Prayer.

2. Work with orphans:

-The boarding school for orphans from Orshivtsi asked us for help, and we, the PIEI Ukraine mission, helped these children with sweets and bought pop food for them, which these children love very much.

-Now we are preparing to help orphans from the orphanage from the city of Khotin. We ask the Lord to help us do this noble service for these orphans. We had long planned to serve the orphans from the city of Khotin, but the war prevented us. We have refugees who need help every day .Already, it seems to have calmed down a little with the refugees and we must fulfill our obligations, that is, what we promised the orphans from the boarding school in the city of Khotyn.

3. Work with refugees:

-We have a full city and region with refugees who have come to us, and we have refugees at home, and in our churches. We, the children of God, are trying to help them in any way we can, Thank God that humanitarian vehicles arrive with food and everything necessary for refugees to help and our churches are distributing this aid to these people. Our PIEI UKRAINE mission received 2 times this aid from Romania through the PIEI Romania mission, and now we are waiting for 3 humanitarian aid through this mission. We pray that everything will work out and our brothers from Romania will reach us safely.

-Bible lessons were held with adults, from refugees, and also Sunday school teachers conduct Bible classes with children. At such meetings, one person repented and two more people want to repent, praying for them.

This man has repented, his name is Denis, he is from the Kherson region. His wife went abroad with her children. And there she found a church and goes to this church there. She repented there and advised her husband to repent. him about Christ. Thank God for accepting Christ into his heart. He really wants the war to end soon so that they can be reunited with their family again. We pray for this family.

4. Prayer and fasting:

- We continue to pray with the churches from our region every day at 9 o’clock in the evening, and also fast for the Lord to help our Ukraine. To stop the war in Ukraine. Chernivtsi region? May we serve calmly on the Niva of the Lord without fear that there will be bombings in our city.

5. Thanksgiving:

- We are very grateful to God for you, dear brothers and sisters, who pray for us, for Ukraine, so that there will be peace in our country in the near future.

- We thank you and the brothers Romanians from the PIEI Ukraine mission for the 2 humanitarian convoys that we received from you and with this help we can help the refugees who settled with us, in our region.

-We are grateful to God that the missionary brothers of the PIEI Romania mission are preparing to translate the 3rd transport humanitarian convoy for Ukraine, for refugees, we pray that everything will turn out well.

5. Prayer needs:

-Keep praying with us to end the war in Ukraine.

-So that we, the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, do not get tired of doing good to the refugees and help them come to Christ.

-Pray that this month we will be able to help the orphans from the Khotinsky boarding school with everything they need.

-For those refugees who accepted Christ, so that the Lord would strengthen them in faith, and for those who have not yet accepted Christ, so that they hasten to repent today, because tomorrow may not come for some. Then they really can be late.

-For the Lord to continue to bless the Chernivtsi region with peace and tranquility, because we have a lot of refugees and they found shelter and care with us, and we, the children of God, found services for Christ by serving these people who need both salvation and financial assistance. May the Lord help us in this!

-For the Lord to bless me and my wife Larisa with health to serve the Lord.

We always pray for you, dear brothers and sisters, that the Lord bless you with health and peace and return you a hundredfold blessing for your sacrifice for Ukraine.

Be blessed!

With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

Celebrating the feast of the Resurrection of Christ

Our dear brothers and sisters from the USA, first of all, we want to greet you with the bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ: Christ is risen! Christ is truly risen!

We praise the Lord for helping us to celebrate this significant holiday for us - the Resurrection of Christ, although in such turbulent circumstances for us as this war in Ukraine. Thank God for the fact that He gives peace in our region so far and so far we have not been bombed rockets. This is only the mercy of the Lord over us. We are also grateful to you, brothers and sisters, for constantly praying for us, for our land of Bukovina and for our country Ukraine. We feel your prayers. They help us a lot here.

1. On Sunday, April 24, all our churches from Ukraine (of course, those that are not in occupation) celebrated the feast of the Resurrection of Christ. 10 people from non-believers came to our church. Many of them were refugees from Kyiv and Odessa. The Easter program was very well prepared. And our choir, and the youth choir. There were many congratulatory verses to the glory of Christ Crucified for us and Risen. The Word of God was preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit. We saw tears of joy in people's eyes. There were a lot of prayers of repentance for the church and for God to help us, and this war stopped, which took so many lives from people. We believe and wait for an answer from the Lord. Only He can protect us all from these misfortunes and troubles.

On April 25, we went to 3 evangelizations. In the morning in Forosna, and from 11 o'clock in Zhilovka. There were not many people at the meeting, but for that there was a funeral of one sister and at this funeral the Word of God was preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit. There were about 50 people unbelievers, and there were also people from refugees who listened to the Word attentively. After the funeral, we invited these refugees to come to our meetings. We pray for them and for this village.

3. Thanksgiving:

-Thank you brothers and sisters for supporting us in this difficult time for us.

-We thank God for the fact that all our brothers and sisters are actively involved with the refugees who have found shelter with us. We pray together with them, comfort them and help with food.

-I thank God for my wife Larisa, for giving her health to feed these refugees who live with us. Also, our daughter, Anzhelka, helps us with these refugees. For example, when we go on an evangelization mission, she cooks food for refugees .Thank God!

-I am also grateful to God for all our missionaries for the fact that they also help refugees both spiritually and materially. All our churches are full with refugees and we must give them what Christ gave us - the Word of God, and also help them in trouble. How much is needed, so much we will help, may the Name of the Lord be glorified through our holy deeds!

4. Prayer needs:

We ask you to pray with us for the war to end sooner.

-So that those people who heard the Word of God at the Easter Evangelizations understood the Word of God and repented. Many listened to the Word with tears in their eyes, but still do not dare to repent.

-So that the Lord preserves and protects Bukovina, our land. To be calm and peaceful, because we have a lot of refugees living near one hundred thousand. They fled from those horrors of the war, many lost everything and houses, and cars, and families. Pray for them that the Lord will comfort them.

We pray and hope to God that this terrible war will end soon and peace will finally come to Ukraine.

Once again, we congratulate you, brothers and sisters, on the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ: Christ is Risen! Christ is Truly Risen!

May the Peace of Christ be in your homes and families. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you!

With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

Christ is Risen!

Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, we greet you with the Peace and Grace of Jesus Christ! We also congratulate you on the joyful and bright holiday of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ: Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed!

1. This month, April, we thought that peace would finally come in our country and we, the Church of God, would be able to praise the Lord and preach the Word of God without these difficult circumstances, especially on the feast of the Resurrection of Christ. But as you can see, the war in Ukraine continues and we, the church of Christ, can do nothing but get on our knees and pray fervently. Each of us prays a prayer of repentance and waits in humility for an answer from the Lord. (2 Chronicles 7:14) - And my people who called by my name, and they will pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins, and I will heal their land. - And then the Lord will heal our country.

2. During these two weeks I visited 3 churches where small evangelizations were held and in all these churches they asked for mercy and deliverance from our Lord. The most important prayers were the prayers of repentance of the church so that our sins would not be an obstacle for the Lord to answer our prayers.

3. Fasting and prayer.

-All the churches of the Chernivtsi region during these 3 weeks made joint fasts and prayers so that the Lord would hear us and stop this war. Our church also participated in this.

-As before, every day we kneel at 21:00 for prayer, together with all our churches, so that the Lord will help restore peace in Ukraine.

4.Help:

-We constantly help all refugees who come to us with everything they need. My wife, Larisa, has been feeding and helping our refugees who live in our house for 2 months now. Thank God that He gives her strength and health so that she does not tired of doing good deeds. Also in our church from Nesvoi, church members help refugees who come to us. Three of these refugees constantly come to our meetings, so we must preach in both Russian and Ukrainian. We try to prepare songs for them to and they understood and glorified the Lord through singing. There, one woman has not yet repented. Her name is Olya. We pray for her so that the Lord touches her heart.

5. Bible lessons:

-In the church of the village of Nesvoi, Bible lessons are held with local children and visiting children. Currently, they are studying the Gospel of John. Our children have made friends with the children of visiting people and do Bible lessons with them and also pray to God that the war will stop soon. Thank God for these children.

6. Thanksgiving:

-We are grateful to God for the fact that there is still an opportunity to glorify the Lord in this difficult time.

-Thank God for you who support us with everything we need.

-We thank God for our missionaries, for the fact that the Lord gives them strength and health and they do not get tired of helping refugees.

-We thank God for the fact that He supports our region of Bukovina and we are still alive and well-Glory to God!

7. Prayer requests:

- Pray with us that this war will stop.

- So that so many children, women and the elderly do not die. Also for those soldiers who defend Ukraine, so that the Lord protects them.

- In order not to attack our Chernivtsi region, then there will be a big trouble, because more than a hundred thousand refugees already live in our region.

- May the Lord bless our missionaries with health and the power of the Holy Spirit for the gospel of the Word of God in this difficult time for us.

-Pray for the two women Olya and Lydia who attend our meetings, so that the Lord touches their hearts and they repent.

-April 24, if God pleases, we will celebrate the feast of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So that the Lord gives us a peaceful time so that we can peacefully celebrate this significant and bright feast of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ-Christ's Victory over death! And it is even better that the war ends by this time.

And we always pray, brothers and sisters, for you. For the Lord to bless you abundantly and give you a hundredfold blessing for everything you do for us.

My family sends their sincere and heartfelt greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ.

With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

Faith without works is dead

We greet you dear brothers and sisters with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am grateful to the Lord for the fact that He helps us proclaim His Word in this difficult time for us - WAR in UKRAINE.

1. A few days ago we had a meeting of the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, where all our missionaries were present and at the same time the missionaries of the PIEI Romania mission, brother Stanya Timofey, director of the PIEI Romania mission, Mike Dima and two other brothers were at the meeting with us. We had good communication and they gave us good instructions on how to serve for Christ during the war. Mission PIEI Romania and misia PIEI America, collected a lot of humanitarian goods and food, and mattresses, and clothes and shampoo, laundry powder, toilet soap and much more that is needed for our refugees, so that we can help these people both by deed and by the Word of God. Apostle James says that faith without works is dead.

2. Our church from Nesvoi every evening from 9 to 10 pm has a prayer for Ukraine, for peace in Ukraine: God hear us! We are nobody without you.

3. Every day more and more people from the war zone come to the churches of the Novoseletsky district. All churches receive them with love and provide them with everything they need. All our missionaries have refugees in their churches who need help.

On Sunday, April 3, in all the churches of our Chernivtsi region, if God helps us, we will hold communions-Remember the Death and Suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Nesvoi church will hold communions in 3 churches, in Balkovtsy and in Podvirnoye - God help us to hold these services.

4. Thanksgiving:

We thank God for being with us during this difficult time.

-Thank you for praying for us and helping us, for the fact that you worry about us and this greatly encourages us.

5. Prayer needs:

-Pray for peace in Ukraine.

-So that we can serve everyone who came to us as refugees. So that we can serve everyone with preaching the Word of God, so that they would know God as their Personal Savior.

-For the Lord to stop the war in Ukraine, for the Lord to stop this evil!

We love you brothers and sisters very much and are grateful to God for you. We pray for you and wish the Lord to bless you and your families, your churches and your country.

With love to you, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

Greetings from Chernivtsi, Ukraine

Today is March 27th. This day started the second month since the war started and is going on,  and since Russia Ukraine and it has caused so much disaster and devastation here because we don't have enough words to describe all these terrible horrors that are happening in Ukraine.

But we thank the Lord for helping us, in these difficult times, for those of us who preach the Word from the pulpit, but also for all the other members of our churches so we can preach the Word through the works of faith in the Lord Jesus.

All these large cities such as Kharkov, Mariupol, Sumy, Kherson, Gostomel, Chernigov and other smaller cities near Russia have all been ruined: large buildings, churches, houses of worship, hospitals, cultural museums, schools, kindergartens.  All the people from there fled and came to us, in our area. There are still women and children who remained behind, they were unable to get out in time from the city of Mariupol, which is blocked by occupiers and does not allow people to leave the city and come to take shelter in our safer area.

Our family has embraced two families of refugees from the city of Nikolayev, after they suffered 10 days of bombing. They slept in the basements and it was very difficult for them. There was a small child there, in such a difficult situation.  We offered them the second floor apartment of our married daughter, where there are two rooms with a separate kitchen, bathroom with a tub, Our daughter Angelica with her family, meaning her husband and their 2 and a half year old daughter moved downstairs into a room in our apartment. There is a girl with them, Anna, who is not related to them. We offered her the room in the hallway of our apartment, and we comforted them daily. We feed them three times a day, we do Bible study together, we pray together. We all have the same reasons for prayer - to end this war as soon as possible and to have peace, peace.  We pray to the Lord to be well with us, so that we can take care of these grief stricken people who have lost their homes and have nowhere to go back.

A week ago my wife Larisa got sick. She had a cold and a fever, but she took care of these people as best she could. The Lord gave her grace and strengthened her. Then I was sick. thank God he took us both out of this disease (of course we both received antibiotic pills) so that we could continue to serve in the work of the Lord.

Last week the missionaries, brothers from the PIEI Romania ministry came to us with supplies. Brother Timotei Stanea, brother Mike Dima, and other younger brothers and with humanitarian aid from Romania. We met them and had a beautiful fellowship with these brothers at the Emanuel church in Noua Sulita .  I thanked God for guarding and keeping our brothers safe in this difficult journey, and we unloaded these goods (food, oil, clothing, mattresses and other necessities) right inside the church building. From there we shared with all the missionaries, that each of the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission to be able to distribute to the refugees who are with them in their churches and in their villages these foods and things, clothes, mattresses. All the Christians have a lot of work to do, each one at his own location, all it takes is to have the desire and the zeal to serve the Lord. May the Lord help us in to do so.

At our church in Nesvoia, we strive to help the refugee believers who have come to take shelter, but also those who have not yet received the Lord. May the Lord help us now in this difficult time so that we can sow His Word in good times and in bad times for His Word to fall into the hearts of good ground to bear the fruits of repentance.   We are observing that the people of the world are more humble, their language is not as vulgar, not as filthy as before, they are starting to fear God.

Today, Sunday, I read from the book of Daniel the words of chapter 6: 20, and Daniel's answer in verse 22-Yes, God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions.

We know that you are praying for us, brothers and sisters, from all over the world, and we are all waiting for the positive answer from the Lord. Our question and yours is every morning: Ukraine, has your God who you are constantly serving, saved you from the lions' mouths?

We wake up every morning, alive and well, full of gratitude to our Creator, saying, "Yes, the Lord has saved us, and thus we are glorifying His name forever!" He is our victory, and we will glorify Him forever!

Thank you very much brothers for your help here. Thank you for your prayers. You are a great encouragement to us, our beloved!

Prayer Requests:

·        Keep praying for us so that the war will end as soon as possible.

·        May the Lord give us all health and strength here so that we can serve the refugees who came to us.

·        A way of escape for those remaining people, especially children and women, from Mariupol and other smaller cities who failed to evacuate people to a shelter or a safer area, because they have nothing to eat there, no light, no drinking water. The streets are blocked, unsafe, under constant bombardment.

·        God give us your peace on earth!

You are always in our hearts, our dear brothers and sisters. May the Lord bless you! We love you and we pray for you.

With love Pavel and Larisa Petihacinii

PIEI Ukraine

13th day of the war in Ukraine

Peace of God dear brothers and sisters from the USA!

Today is the 13th day of the war in Ukraine.

We thank God that in our region of Bukovina in the Chernivtsi region so far it is quiet and peaceful and they do not bomb us as it happens in the Kiev region, in Kharkov, in Kherson, in Nikolaev, in Sums, in Chernihiv regions and also in the city of Mariupol, which turned out to be blocked. There, 400,000 people cannot leave the city because the air artillery is hitting them. Many of the wounded cannot be treated. The humanitarian aid also cannot drive up because of the artillery. Pray for these cities and other small villages that are now in great danger. Pray that they stop war.

I, with my wife Larisa, went on Sundays to our church, to Nesvoya, where we held communions, remembered the death and suffering of Jesus Christ. We thanked God the Father for giving His Only Son as a sacrifice to die on the cross for the sins of the whole world. Our entire church prayed and wept before God and asked for forgiveness in repentance. We also asked for God's mercy on us. We also walked around the village and distributed money to families who accepted refugees so that they could feed them. We were in 5 families and helped - Thank God! And 50 refugees also want to come to our village. Our brothers and sisters are all preparing to receive these people in their homes. May God help us to serve our neighbors with love as to the Lord - Glory to God!

Also, 5 people from the city of Nikolaev were received at our home today. They said that they could not sleep normally for 11 days and spent their nights in a bomb shelter. Their city was also bombed. Last night, an air raid siren turned on. Thank God everything ended well. 6 missiles were heading towards Kiev, but, thank God, they shot down them and did not explode. We hope to God that this horror will end soon. Thank you for not forgetting us and praying for us and for Ukraine. May the Lord reward you for your sacrifice and kindness to us. Support us further in your prayers before God. Only in God is our hope. We love you and pray for you.

With love, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.

DONATE FOR REFUGEES-WAR CRISIS

Update from Pastor Pavel Petihacinii, PIEI National Director – Ukraine:

I called each individual missionary and each of them gave me an idea of how many refugees had come to them in their churches here in Southwestern Ukraine. They are including churches, schools and hotels. Some of the Christians were taken in by Christian families.

At the beginning of the war, I urged all our missionaries to leave and cross over to Romania to stay at the PIEI Christian Center in Alba Iulia, at least the wives should leave with the small children. They said they can't leave now because they have many refugees from the North and East who arrived in our towns and have to stay to take care of them and serve them. If the refugees will flee over the border, then they will also flee with their families to Romania when the time comes. We pray that if that time comes, everyone will be able to cross the border without any problems.

Ukraine: Chernivtsi Region / PIEI National Director Pavel Petihacinii

Our dearest brothers and sisters from the U.S.A., I greet you with the peace of the Lord Jesus, even though here in our country of Ukraine there is no peace, we get comforted with the words of our Lord Jesus from John 14: 1-2 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.”

It seems that now the Lord is pressing upon us to hep our brothers and sisters who are refugees even more, mothers and children who have left their homes in the far North, East, and the Center of Ukraine. Every day there are more and more of them arriving. All of our churches are helping as much as they can. Today is day 7 of this war. We do not know what it will be, but our hope is in the Lord. He is our refuge. He can free Ukraine from its agressors who came uninvited. We are weak, but God is Almighty, may He be glorified forever. May He show us His glory through our weaknesses. Amen.

Yesterday, my wife Larissa and I went to tend to the 100 refugees that are housed at the Bible Center in Chernivtsi (Koveliscaia St. Nr. 25). We took food items and canned goods. They were so happy to see us. There is a large kitchen there and they can prepare meals. Brother Alex Pascari came yesterday also with a van full of Christian Aid. Praise the Lord who provides help for these refugees from everywhere. They are so touched and surprised by the love and care that is shown to them. Glory to God that through this work His Name is being honored and proclaimed. May He continue to help us, and may God stop this war that doesn’t make any sense.

At the church in Nesvoia we have 11 families of mothers with children. (30 people). We divided them through the houses of our brothers and sisters, members of the church. Our family feeds them and takes care of them all: Christians and non-Christian families. We give them food, mattresses, pillows, clothing, and everything they need.

We are so thankful for all of you who are coming alongside of us with this situation in Ukraine. May God bless you and reward your love and your sacrifice for Ukraine.

With our love,
Petihacinii Family, Pavel and Larissa

Ukraine: Noua Sulita / PIEI National Missionary Valerii Popov

I greet you with the peace of the Lord, our dear brothers and sisters in the Lord!
I would like to write about the work with the Ukrainian refugees that have arrived and are staying with us.
We have three families that have settled in our church, three families in the church in the village of Dranita, and two families in Chernivtsi. These are Christian families. They come to meet with us daily for fellowship at our Emmanuel Church. We gave gifts to their children, and they were so happy! We are thankful that we can heat up the place for them, make tea and coffee, sandwiches, read the Word and pray together.
We are so happy that among these refugees there is also a pastor from Kiev, and he helps us out with the ministry among the refugees.

One woman made a decision for Christ during one of our devotinal times. Her name is Marina. She said that she started to attend a bible study in Kiev, but she did not understand much. Now she did and gave her heart and life to the Lord. Everyone congratulated and encouraged her for her decision, the pastor from Kiev prayed for her, and we also gave her flowers. She was so touched, saying that she waited so long wasting her life until now, that she should have made this decision a long time ago, but just didn’t have the courage to do it.

Our son Timotei told us that this war is a gain for the kingdom of God, for many people come to know Christ. This woman’s son whose name is also Timotei said that everyone needs to repent. Praise the Lord! One refugee brother said that he wants to help out our church needs with the refugees care, and contributed 3000 grivni (local currency), money that I used to purchase coal to heat up the boiler at the church.

In our town we have 20 refugee Christians, and 80 non-Christian refugees. The non-Christians have been accommodated through schools and hotels, while the Christians are accommodated by our families in the church (that was done for safety reasons for our homes, families and children). We take care of everyone and help everyone with produce, food, canned goods, with mattresses, pillows, blankets, and conforters. My family and I moved into another house and live with a brother, and gave our entire house to a refugee family. We help with what we can.

We are helping 10 other people and two children also refugees who are non-Christians, who are staying at the local hotel. We are also visiting them, giving them food items and gifts for their children.

May the Lord help us to continue this work and spiritual ministry for the souls of these people who are in much need. We thank you for praying for Ukraine. We know and believe that the Lord is working in a marvelous way and will deliver us from this terrible harsh war. May He bless you, brothers and sisters from the U.S.A., hundred fold, from His riches for you all.

With all our love, Popov Family

Chernivtsi: PIEI Missionary Pastor Grigore Pastusac

Currently, 30 people are housed in our church (all Christians), and we have accommodated 50 people through the families of our brothers in the church. Our church feeds them and brings them everything they need. At first there were 70 people at the church, but in the last two evenings many of them crossed over to Romania with relatives and acquaintances.

Tarasauti: PIEI Missionary Mihai (Misha) Gortopan

In our church we have three families who were accommodated by our brothers and sisters, and we are prepared and still waiting for more families with children to come along. In the village we also have non-Christian refugees who have been housed that we are helping.

Dinauti: PIEI Missionary Alexa Pascari

Five non-Christian families came to the village and were accommodated at the school. We bring them all the things they need. We also collected a lot of produce and food items and drove them to the Christian Center in Covelscaia St, in Chernivtsi (which was built by the PIEI U.S. partnership), where there are 100 Christian refugees who are accommodated. Every day we take food and other items there to care for and feed them.

Kotelevo: PIEI New Missionary Igor Dzeadic

We have 10 refugees that came to our village and we have housed them in the homes of our brothers and sisters from our church. We help them with food and other necessities.

Rachitna: PIEI Missionary Grigore Kioresco

I helped out with 1000 refugees that came in to be redistributed all over Hotin district, because there we have many larger Evangelical Christian churches that have accommodation. These churches take very good care of these refugees who come from all over the large cities of Ukraine near the Russian border: Chernigov, Rovno, Kyiv, Sumi, Kharkov,

Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson as well as some other smaller cities. A large number of refugees were also sent to Chernivtsi and were housed at the Ceremosh Hotel.

Two families of refugees came to our church and we distributed them to the believers’ homes. We took two other refugee families, whom we found out that they had an open visa to immigrate to America, and took them to the border in Romania, because from there they can to go further and advance their immigration procedures. We do our best to help everyone, this is what we learn from God’s Word. Everyday we get new refugees arriving.

***
This is the report about the refugees. As far as the war is concerned, we are yet to see what the two parties with its own

parlament will decide, if they are to stop this war or not. Please pray for Ukraine and for the end of this war. May God bless you.
With Love,
Brother Pavel Petihacinii

DONATE FOR REFUGEES-WAR CRISIS

Meeting with the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission

I am grateful to God that He gives us the opportunity to proclaim His Word in Ukraine. At the moment it is very difficult to comfort people from the threat of war with worldly advice. Only the Word of God can console and give hope to a person in this difficult time.

1.Study Word:

-This month, we studied the book of Job, together with many ministers, because we are preparing to serve God and people at this difficult time for Ukraine.

2. After studying this wonderful book, I began to teach the first lesson from the book of Job in 3 churches: Zhilovka, Forosna and Marchentsy. After these lessons, we did an hour of prayer and those who were from the unbelievers also prayed and asked God for forgiveness and prayed that there was peace in Ukraine. Fear of war makes everyone pray and cry out to God. These unbelievers come constantly to churches and pray together with believers. There were 40 people in these 3 churches.

3.Funeral:

- Held 2 funerals: in the village of Nesvoi and in the village of Balkovtsy. Especially at the funeral in Balkovtsy, 200 people attended, almost all of the unbelievers, who carefully listened to the Word of God. After the funeral, many of the unbelievers came up to me and want to organize with them hours of prayer to pray for Ukraine. I agreed to pray with them for peace in Ukraine.

4. Meeting with the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission.

-February 14, we had a meeting with the missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, where all our missionaries talked about their ministry and their difficulties they encountered in the ministry. We prayed together and thanked God for the peace and tranquility that had been until now, and also asked the Lord to he had mercy on us and protected Ukraine from the aggression of the war. We all hope for the Lord God. He is our Protection and Salvation - Glory to Him forever and ever!

- We were very happy that the family of Pop Rodik and Alex were also present at this meeting. We met virtually in zoom and they gave us good instructions and encouraged us with the Word of God.

All the missionaries thanked them for the support and prayers of our US sponsors who are helping us to carry out this missionary service here in Ukraine.

At the end of the meeting, we all prayed for all our sponsors from the USA. For brothers and sisters in the Lord who pray for us and help us in our ministry. For the Lord to give everyone health and peace in the country where they live and to bless their families and churches.

5. Thanksgiving:

-Thank you for your help and prayers that help us in the ministry so much. I feel your prayers and the fact that the Lord helps me, Glory to Him.

-For the fact that we are one team with you and can do such wonderful things for God.

6. Prayer requests:

-Pray for peace in Ukraine.

-Pray for me. I am to teach the Book of the Holy Apostles at the Theological Institute to students at the end of February.

- Also at the end of February, we organized an action with all orphans from the orphanage from Khotyn where there are about 200 children. So that this lockdown due to the pandemic passes and we meet with these children. If God wills and be healthy, there will be peace in Ukraine then we will prepare gifts for these children, food, socks, and other needs for them. We will write about this later. Only for the Lord to help us do this. I would like us to give each child individually, such good gifts so that they feel that they are loved and that they glorified God. Pray for us and for this action.

We are once again grateful to you for everything you do for us. May the Lord bless you abundantly. We love you and pray for you.

With love, the Petikhachny family, Pavel and Larisa.
