Pastor Training

In more than 22 local churches of CECA 20, there is only one pastor with a master’s degree, 5 pastors who have their first degree at university, and the remaining are only college or non-educated/trained pastors. This lack of training makes our churches’ growth difficult.  We need more trained pastors. In order to attempt to rectify this problem, the following are offered:

Formal training - The major problem here is that not many want to become pastors even though they do have the calling. this is because they consider pastors’ lives to be a very bad and poor life.  The ministry aims to provide financial support and encouragement for those who are called by God to be pastors to go for theological studies.

Informal training - For those who are already pastors but with some gaps in their leadership, the ministry aims at building their capacity through seminars, conferences, retreats, or even writing contextual books in the language they understand best.
