Zsolt kemeri

From death to life

My name is Zsolt Kemeri. I grew up in a little village named Sînmiclăuş in Alba county Romania with non-Christian parents who gave their best in raising me. I graduated college this year in Alba Iulia as a Law student.  I will now give you an overview on what happened to me in the past 3 years of walking with Jesus. Through this I hope that you will see how God worked to bring me to where I am right now.

Everything began at the university where I met someone who invited me to church. Soon after I accepted in invitation I was invited by pastor Marcel Cordoș to a big event called “Believe” in 2015. At this event I got answers for all my questions. Hearing all the evidences about the existence of the Biblical God, I knew that He wanted a personal relationship with me. So I answered His calling and He revealed Himself to me. At that point, everything in my life changed. I had a big appetite for knowing Him more that has not wavered over the past three years.

The calling started early

After a few months from my baptism in 2016, God put on the heart of the ministry leader from OAC Romania, Traian Opruța, who is a member of Harmony Church (Biserica Armonia) to ask me to join a puppet ministry with them and to help with different needs. I was excited about it and accepted. I served in the ministry whenever I could, and I can say that I enjoyed it and I am still doing it. At the same time, I was asking myself if this is something that I can do for a living. Definitely not if I am thinking in my terms. So, I started to rethink my life and my future, even as I was doing ministry with the amazing puppet team.

Trying to make a future of my own

This desire actually gave birth to something that I love to do: to fly. I wanted to be a pilot since my childhood. And I believe that God provided the opportunity and privilege last year to do it. In 2017, by the grace of God, I started and finished a free ultralight airplane course. But this couldn’t provide an income yet, I would have to become an airline pilot.

Becoming an airline pilot is a dream that can hardly become true, but suddenly an opportunity came in front of me and I was excited about it. I was praying for it before and I continued to pray to see God’s will about it. I was even willing to give it up, if God asked me to do it, but still didn’t know where He wants me to be.

Answers for prayers

In April 2018 I had the privilege of serving a group of World Racers in Alba Iulia. We were involved in different ministries in that month and, at the end of the month, we went to Drăgănești-Olt for the PVT (Parent Vision Trip). I was required to help with translation but God had more for me. During this time I was still unsure in my decision of becoming a pilot, was this where God wanted me?

I asked Raul what does he think about the situation and what should I do to see God’s will for my future. His answer was prayer and fasting. That was what I did the very next day. And God answered my prayer within three days after that.

The moment when God changes your vision to His vision

The answer was this: “How could I stay most of the time of my life in an airplane cabin when so much people need God?” Although this was the final questions that was needed to know my conclusion the process had been being answered through a lot of other circumstances, people and actions. I knew it inspired by the Holy Spirit. At that point I knew that God gave me a heart for people.

This is the reason why I am here, with expectations that through the E2E program God will clarify what I should do in the city of Alba Iulia where I am called to be a witness for Him.

God shows His specific will in the process of living an authentic Christian life and I see this in His word in Romans 12:1-2 which says: “Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice – alive, holy, and pleasing to God – which is your reasonable service. Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”
