By the grace of God, we made it through the second month of the year, and we are thankful to God that He is in control and guides our life on earth, gives us the joy of His presence and convicts us through the Holy Spirit that we are valuable because of the Lord Jesus.
This month I visited the Villages of Rotunda and Valea Dumiresti, and the orphanage. I also participated in some evangelism services where I was invited to serve, in Pitesti. Recently, my wife and I participated in one of the services at the church in Campulung. After the afternoon service while returning home, there was a snow storm that made our drive home very dangerous. My wife prayed the whole two hours and we made it home safely. God’s hand was with us and proves to be strong every time. We just have to recognize it so that we do not become complacent and unfruitful.
Also this month three people got baptized: Andrei Salomia, Simion Ancuta and Radu Gratian. I worked with these three individuals on discipleship and spiritual growth; they are planning to be involved in the local mission team.
As a result of the study of the book of Nehemiah with Nelu Sofrac and his wife Dorina, we started the same study with a local group. I have invited four churches to join our study, and we made it through several of the lessons. The study gets more and more interesting, and we pray that we get to apply it daily.
Also this month, I went to the hospital in Fundeni for checkup and treatment. The doctor is pleased about how my body does with the liver transplant, and in this situation I am convinced that the Lord Jesus is in control and guides me as I continue to serve.
I would like to thank all who partner with us, the PIE board in Romania and the US, and all those who support us financially. We pray for you all that the Lord Jesus blesses your families, your churches and businesses with health and His grace; thanks to Ed and Didy, Matei and Naomi, Marioara Barac, the prayer group from Cornel and Gabriela’s house, Popa Rodica and Alex, Daniela and Ovi Poenar, and all who support the missionaries spiritually and financially. I close with this verse which spoke to me today: Joshua 1-8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
With love in the Lord Jesus, Traian Chilau, PIE missionary
