God is Faithful

… "so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

First of all I would like to thank God because He is faithful to His Word and for the work that He is doing through me, my family and our team here in the village of Coteana. I am saying this because one of my objectives of this year was to share the Gospel of Christ to the people from this village and so that we will have a baptism by the end of this year (I was praying for at least one person to commit his or her life to Jesus). Many times God surprises us by the way he answers our prayers: This past Sunday December 9th 2018 there was a baptism service at the Hope Church in Draganesti Olt and we are happy to share with you that one lady from Coteana was also one of the new believers being baptized.

Her name is Titina; we have met her this year, one year and a half after we moved to Coteana. Let me share with you how God worked in her life: Danut and Florina ( missionaries team workers) presented the Gospel to her and visited her many times . One day she was invited by them to attend a conference in Alba Iulia. Even though God searched her heart previously, that moment in Alba Iulia was a pivot point in her life when God opened her spiritual eyes and she accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of her life. After a few months she left to go to Italy for work. She came back in May this year and we started to visit her and her family, we prayed, talked about Jesus salvation and baptism. One day she came to us and told us that she would like to be baptized as a testimony that she wants to belong to Jesus for the rest of her life. We are so joyful that God touched this lady's heart because she went to difficult times: has a difficult financial situation, she is divorced and had to raise her children alone, and a few months ago she found out that she has cancer. Her situation, especially her illness made her to come closer to God. We pray that God will heal her body and that she will be a living testimony in for this community. For me it meant a lot to be part of this baptism as she is the first person which I baptized. It is an honor to work in the expansion of God’s Kingdom and to see, with my own eyes, how God is still changing lives! Thank you for your prayers!

Prayer requests:

  • For the people in Coteana, especially this month as we would like to go caroling and share New Testaments to the children's families (children that are usually coming to our kids club)

  • Pray for our son Dominic because he got sick 2 months ago and we were in the hospital with him for 2 weeks; since then he has up and downs, he has days when he is not feeling well

  • Pray for us as a family, so God can give us wisdom and vision as we would like to start working with youth from this community. We need wisdom to know how to approach them.

  • Pray for the people that are coming regularly to our church services ( one room house) so that they know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

    Love,
