We wish to share with you, our prayer partners and supporters all of the happenings here with Hope Baptist Church. This month of July has been busy as we have hosted a few visiting teams and have changed our ministries to fit into the summer weather. We have been able to travel more often to the surrounding towns and we are very enthusiastic about the opportunities we have had in the warmer weather.

This month we had the chance to work with a large group of visitors from the World Race and a group from Texas – First Baptist Church of Bryan. We were able to minister to over 20 villages in a variety of ways, opening the door to share the Gospel. The Lord was glorified in many ways and the Gospel was presented to different ages – children, youth, adults, men, women, widows through personal involvement, groups, songs, messages, literature or service projects. God allowed us to do this through kids ministry, youth ministry, widow ministry, soccer ministry, in sharing worship and testimonies, and completing several service projects, such as eyeglass ministries, bee keeping and picking up trash around our community. Glory to God that we were able to start two new kids clubs this month. Every year in the villages, we have eyeglass ministry that draws many people. It is one of the biggest ministries we have. There are several requests for doing prescription glasses, but we are only able to do reading glasses at this time. We typically operate a registration table, a clinical station where people get their glasses and have their blood pressure tested and an area where we are able to share the Gospel and counsel people. This month we hosted the ministry in the church at Draganesti and people showed up asking for glasses even after we had closed for the day. Some of these people are the church building’s neighbors and they asked for a Bible and Christian books to read as well. It was their first time ever in the building.
We are praying for these neighbors, that the Lord would work in their hearts – amen. We evangelize in towns and several evenings a week and ask people about their interest in these things. We continued to pass around surveys and talk to people about starting a Bible study in the fall and we are receiving positive feedback from people that there is an interest in this in several of the villages and towns. This month we were able to cover four villages with literature about the Gospel. Pray that the Gospel would penetrate their hearts and minds.
