My name is Florin Dumitru, I am 23 years old and I am a member of Hope Church in Drăgăneşti-Olt.
Ever since I was a kid, I asked myself „Where I will go after I die?” Usually, this question came to me when I heard the church bell ringing (in orthodoxism it symbolizes someone’s death).
Because I had no answers and nobody to ask, I got used to the idea that it was only a thought and nothing more, but today I realize that God is doing His work in me since then.
A few years later, a family of christians moved in my village. While I was on the street, I was invited to go to their kids’ ministry and, out of curiosity, I accepted their invitation.
In time, I accepted Jesus in my life but it wasn’t the real deal. I was a superficial christian because I was still living a sinful life at home while at church I pretended to be a good man.
When I was 18 years old, God asked me: „How long are you going to live like that?”. In that moment I realized my duplicity and I started to live like God wanted me to live.
Today, I serve in my local church which is connected to Hope Church:
I go on the streets for an hour, every day from Tuesday to Saturday, I talk to people about God and I pray for them.
I administrate the church: cleaning, making the fire etc.
Ocasionally, I lead the church in prayer.
