Greetings,

My name is Lucian Brînceanu, I live in the city of Craiova, Romania and I am part of the national mission team under the leadership of "Hope Church of Craiova" with my leader and founder and pastor Raul Costea. I graduated from the Baptist Theological Institute in Bucharest, Romania, finished my master’s degree and now am getting ready on the mission field for my next assignment.

I came to know Christ at the age of 16 when I found myself at  a crossroad of my personal life which lead me to dedicate myself to Christ and receive Him as my personal Savior. Right before that I was engaging in a life style not pleasing to the Lord in a damaging entourage of bad friendship that had me stealing and swearing.

One day my older brother Alin came home from medical school from the city of Oradea. On that day the police came to our house with all my so called friends to give me a fine for stolen goods from a car. My brother was home and witnessed all this. He was pretty upset and he said something like:  "I will make a man out of you”.  He made me read the Bible and write many verses from the Bible over and over again, made me attend church and grounded me, obligating me to stay inside the house the entire vacation that summer.  In the beginning, of course, I went as an obligation, but later on I was drawn to God to go to church in a way that I cannot explain. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day" John 6:44

I sensed the intimate relationship with God and I`ve got to know Him in a close way. After I finished high school I sensed His call upon my life to serve Him with His Word and evangelism.

Fast forward to this course (practical school of missions / discipleship / church planting): the reason I enrolled in this course is to learn new things and go deeper in the things I know so that I can become a more effective servant / worker.

My predominant spiritual gifts are pastoral, preaching, serving, faith, and wisdom.
