First five CreoCore businesses started in Mali
CreoCore is one of the newest PIEI ministries, approved in January 2009 (candidate status). But we are off to a great start.
The purpose of CreoCore is to meet both physical and spiritual needs, simultaneously, and in an integrated manner. As described in James 2:14-18, meeting either type of need without meeting the other is insufficient. CreoCore meets both physical/material and spiritual needs by ensuring that the financial success of CreoCore businesses is shared with the local community. Selected organizations which do good work in the local communities will receive financial support from the entrepreneurs (via CreoCore). Examples of possible beneficiaries include organizations addressing health issues (medical clinics, HIV/AIDS prevention, hygiene education, hospitals, etc), educational organizations (fighting illiteracy, providing school supplies, etc), local churches (doing missions work, social work, etc), groups promoting appropriate technologies to improve quality of life (water purification, communication needs, etc), or organizations targeting the needs of the poor and underprivileged (orphanages, shelters, prisons, etc). In the very long run, this model of local business creation combined with community sharing has the potential of addressing a wide range of local needs without requiring significant financial support from the outside.
