Muslim Leader and 10 Students Accept Christ
The newest PIEI missionary, Levy Dembele (pronounced ‘Leh-vee DAHM-ba-lay’) has his work cut out for him. In the first big evangelistic effort, Levy and other PIEI representatives showed the Jesus film outdoors in the village of Ntossoni. In Levy’s words, people in this area “see electricity light maybe twice a year.” 800 people came to see the film and many lives were renewed as they chose to follow Jesus that night!
The PIEI leaders included this in their report:
“Very important: after the Jesus film, the leaders of the biggest mosques of NTossoni came to the film showing. One of the Koranic school teachers accepted Jesus in front last Friday and 10 of his pupils became Christians, too. Many people would like to become Christian in the following days. It is a revolution there! Now, some other Muslims are very angry and they asked this Koranic teacher to leave NTossoni. Please, let's pray for the new Christians and the Muslim leaders.”
