PARTNERS IN EVANGELISM INTERNATIONAL: GUYANA
Andy and Kathleen Girwarnauth: Church Planters working with :
The Association of Bible Churches in Guyana
January, 2011
Dear Praying Friends,
The Lord has blessed us with a new year and new opportunities for ministry among Hindus and Muslims in Guyana, South America. We are grateful for the privilege of serving alongside men and women who desire to reach Guyana for Christ. (see attached photo of our team of national leaders). It was a joy and blessing to meet for prayer and planning recently, at the Overwinning Bible Church with representative leaders and pastors from the Association of Bible Churches. The first “Day of Prayer” for the year is always a highlight for us, as each church shares the blessings of the previous year, as well as goals and prayer requests for the new year. We would like to highlight the general goals for the ABC in 2011:
- Finish the Hampshire Bible Church project/renovation (goal: completed by March, 2011)
- Bring Pastor Vishal (Crabwood Creek Bible Church) to the IFCA International convention in June. He is in the process of obtaining a visa to visit the US during that time.
- Continue to tape, edit, and air the “Final Revelation” weekly broadcast.
- Continue the Berbice Bible Institute and Solid Rock Theological Seminary Extension classes with visiting professors.
- Canje Bible Church and Fyrish Bible Church go to “independent” status by year end.
- Bushlot Bible Church: Assist as needed, upgrade facility, move coworkers (Bro. Harry and family) to assist Vijay Rambharak family as a team.
- Host two medical teams: Dental (March: Crabwood Creek) and Optometry (August: Bath)
As president of the ABC, and senior pastor of the Bath Bible Church, Andy is very

involved in every area of the goals and vision casting. Please pray for the team of national coworkers who faithfully shepherd their churches, continue their theological studies, and raise up their families to love and serve the Lord. Please pray for us specifically as we seek to serve alongside them, to encourage, facilitate, train, and enable them to do the work God has called them to do.
Thank you for praying for our recent trip to the US. We had a busy but wonderful time of sharing the ministry, and visiting family and friends. Time passed very quickly, Andy returned in early December , followed by Kathleen just after Christmas. We covet your prayers for us as we are in a very busy season of ministry once again, for health, strength and wisdom. It is exciting to see many coming to faith in Christ in this village, and worshipping at the Bath Bible Church. Please pray for the new believers, just recently a businessman and his wife were saved and are very faithfully attending. Andy is working hard to complete a large shed behind the Bath Bible Church to park the NEW 28 seat team bus in! Praise God for providing this much needed vehicle. The dental team (March 5-11) will be the first to enjoy the comfort of air conditioned team travel to Berbice! (see attached photo) As our little neighbor Molly would say, “God is good...all the time!”
Yes, the “blessings do come down as the prayers go up”, and we thank YOU for your faithful prayers on behalf of the Association of Bible Churches, and our church planting ministry. There are many challenges ahead, but we desire to trust God in all circumstances, knowing that HE knows the future and all that it holds. We will keep you updated as things progress, please let us know how we can pray for you also.
“ And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
Joyfully serving,
Andy and Kathleen
